1. Trapezoid is an American folk music group. From Wikipedia:
Trapezoid is an American folk music group led by Paul Reisler. Founded in 1975 by Sam Rizzetta, they began as a quartet of hammer dulcimer players. Two of the four played the traditional hammer dulcimer, while the other two played baritone and treble hammer dulcimers specially designed by Rizetta. Since 1975, the group's membership and instrumentation has changed repeatedly, always with Paul Reisler as a member.
In 2004 and 2005, the 1984 lineup that recorded Winter Solstice with John McCutcheon reunited with McCutcheon to perform acoustic concerts, called the Winter Solstice tour. This lineup included fiddler Freyda Epstein, who was killed in 2003 in a car accident.
2. Trapezoid was the musical project of Neil Cicierega before Lemon Demon. A large difference between the two is that a vast majority of Trapezoid's songs were instrumentals, with a few exceptions.
Soon after Neil moved on to Lemon Demon he was contacted by a previously established band by the name of “Trapezoid” (which is most likely the second band on this page), who claimed copyright to the name thus Neil remained the now defunct music project "Deporitaz".

Fun part of this remix : Trapezzoid's a pseudonym of Neil Cicierega. He is also the creator of The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny, Potter Pals, Brodyquest and the Mouth trilogy. That makes it even better.
@sirdeadlock
So I looked up Trapezzoid. Apparently his name is Neil Cicierega and he's got some notoriety: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Cicierega You may remember his vocals from the popular internet song.... The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny. Or perhaps the comedy styles of Potter Puppet Pals. This guy is apparently an internet meme god.
@melhanlol
he also made the instrumental
@artsyebonyrose
I was on Neil's wiki and saw this on it so I clicked the link and boom I'm here. Its so wild bc monkey island 2 was huge in my childhood and means a lot to me
@Pantsmode
What a rabbit hole.
@StrangeHeaven
i'm surprised to see people in this comment section not here from knowing this was neil cicierega. that's just wonderful
@stefans6620
So......I downloaded this from the actual ocremix.org site I think when I was in high school (so this must have been 2002 or 2003). I can't tell you how much I have listened to this. Some days I just have it on repeat and it never, ever gets old!! I have heard MANY remixes and mash-ups of all of the songs, but this is by FAR the best. I am also a musician, so I fully appreciate the detail Trapezzoid went to when creating this masterpiece. Kudos to you. :)
@branthology
same exact story haha
@RyleeStrange
@@branthology third that. plus the musician part.
@1WolfFan
Yup. Download page says October-ish 2002
Sadly, I missed this when I first started browsing the site way back when. Only loaded up the song because one of the Twitch-Streamers I watch started this series, and I had shared one of the more recent remixes of it. But it got me started on listening to all of them posted now, and poof! new song for my library. :)
