Hailing from the port city of Baltimore, Maryland comes the war-mammoth known as Trapped Under Ice, who proudly inherit and build upon the mantle of their predecessors Next Step Up and Gut Instinct. Compound this with the sonic territories explored by New York bands such as Crown Of Thornz and Breakdown, and the intent of the outfit becomes obvious—total aural brutality.
Following their inception in 2007, a 5-song demo was quick to follow. That demo was also released as an EP on Flatspot Records. Hearing those songs, the crew at Reaper Records approached the band with a deal to release what would become known as the Stay Cold EP. The EP contains 6 tracks of unrelenting hardcore reality.

Trapped Under Ice Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
But it's too late
To take back the damage I've caused
The people I love
Have been hurt by the things that I've done
Baby girl don't cry
I know what you want, but I
Dead or alive
The lyrics to Trapped Under Ice's song Between the Sheets are very introspective and highlight feelings of regret and the irreversible harm caused to the people one loves. The first line, "I would if I could," suggests that the singer would like to make amends for their wrongdoing, but it is too late. The damage has already been done, and the singer cannot reverse it. The next line "But it's too late," reinforces the idea that there's no going back.
The next line, "To take back the damage I've caused," shows the singer acknowledging their wrongdoing and taking responsibility for their actions. however, the subsequent lines, "The people I love, have been hurt by the things that I've done," reveal the pain they feel about causing harm to those they hold dear. This shows that the singer is remorseful and understands the consequences of their actions.
The last two lines, "Baby girl don't cry, I know what you want but I, I can't give it to you, Dead or alive," deepens the melancholy tone of the song. The singer acknowledges the lover's pain and longing but accepts that nothing can be done to fix it. The last word, 'dead or alive' emphasizes that there's no escaping the irreversible consequences of their actions.
