Trash Talk Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You better fucking check yourself.
Talking shit on my friends.
Looks like your time is coming to an end.
The road stops here.
Your demise is fucking near.
How can you look down on me?
Run your mouth.
Run for cover.
The lyrics to Trash Talk's song Collapse are about calling out someone who thinks they're better than everyone else and talks shit about the singer's friends. The singer warns this person that their time is up and their world is collapsing. The message is clear - don't look down on others when your own life is falling apart. The chorus is a taunt urging the person to run their mouth and run for cover.
The lyrics are a commentary on the tendency of certain people to put others down in order to make themselves feel superior. Trash Talk is calling out this kind of behavior and saying that it's unacceptable. The singer is confident that this person's downfall is imminent and it's only a matter of time before they realize they need to check themselves.
The song is likely inspired by personal experiences as the band is known for their raw, confrontational style. It's a common theme in their music to call out hypocrisy and challenge the status quo. Overall, Collapse is a powerful and aggressive track that serves as a warning to anyone who thinks they're better than others.
