Trash Talk Lyrics

Then grabbed you by the neck and threw you into war?
Who gave you nothing when it was answers you were searching for?
Who will you trust for now?
Forevermore?
No one. Never again
The lyrics to Trash Talk's song Revelation explore the feelings of disillusionment and betrayal that can arise when someone is let down by those they trusted most. The opening lines ask who filled the singer's head with lies and then left them to suffer the consequences. This could be interpreted as a reference to those in positions of power, such as politicians or corporate leaders, who make promises they don't keep or fail to protect those they're supposed to serve.
The next line then asks who led the singer into war, perhaps implying that they were coerced or forced to fight in a conflict that they did not fully understand or believe in. The third line questions who denied the singer the answers they were seeking, leaving them confused and lost. This could refer to a personal situation, such as a relationship or career, where the singer was let down by someone they trusted to provide guidance or support.
The final lines are a declaration of independence and self-reliance. The singer rejects the idea of putting their faith in anyone ever again, choosing to rely on themselves rather than risk being let down again. Overall, the lyrics to Revelation offer a powerful critique of those who abuse their power or fail to live up to their responsibilities, while also celebrating the strength and resilience of the individual.
