Definition Of Wrong

There's no obvious solution to this plight
Keep it locked, out of sight
Even then it's just a matter of time, uh oh
Nothing's right, nothing's reign
I'm gonna get a tumor in the brain
Now you're here, now you're gone
Oh what's the definition of wrong
Oh what's the definition of wrong
What's the definition of wrong
Hangin' out down the street
Me and my homies and a couple of ho's we meet
Acting shy, talking sweet
Show me the money, honey
Give it to me talk is cheap
Shaken up, also ran
You'd rather stick your head into the sand
Now you're lame, too far gone
Now what's the definition of wrong
What's the definition of wrong
What's the definition of wrong
The lyrics of "Definition of Wrong" by Travis explore the idea of confusion and ambiguity in life, where there is no clear delineation between right and wrong. The singer highlights the absence of a definite solution to their problems, and how their struggles can only be temporarily kept hidden from view. Furthermore, the ambiguity of life can result in physical and emotional consequences, such as health issues or confusion. The chorus repeats the question of what the definition of wrong is, as if seeking a clear answer to their confusion.
The song also touches upon themes of materialism, where the singer describes hanging out with their friends looking for money and pleasure but questioning their intentions. The lyrics suggest that this behavior might have negative consequences, as the singer realizes that they might have been misled and taken advantage of.
Overall, "Definition of Wrong" showcases Travis's introspective approach to songwriting, where they explore personal struggles and philosophical questions. The lyrics are open for interpretation, but the common thread is the idea of uncertainty and confusion in life.
