Recording of their debut, Corabia Nebunilor (Madmen's Ship), begins in winter 2004, with a video being shot for the eponymous track. In summer 2005, however, George suffers a severe car accident and the band is put on hold for several months. Following his recovery, Travka's debut album is finally released in December, gathering very positive reviews.
The band continued playing various gigs and festivals around the country, attracting more and more fans with their eccentric approach and often cryptic lyrics, quickly becoming a household name in Romanian rock music. It is not, however, until 2007 that the band records and, later that year, releases their sophomore album: Vreau sa simt Praga (I Want to Feel Prague). This release causes quite a stir in the media, being the first Romanian album freely available over the Internet under a Creative Commons license.
After extensive touring to support their latest release, in August 2008 Travka announced its break-up. Three of the members went on to establish the electronical trio Discoballs Project.
On March 7th 2010, Travka announced their reunion, in the original line-up. They held their last concert in 2017, celebrating their 15th anniversary.

Travka Lyrics

Oamenii spun ca eu sunt nebun!
Oamenii cred ca eu nu mai cred.
Oamenii tac cand se desfac.
Oamenii spun ca eu sunt nebun!
Oamenii spun ca eu sunt nebun!
Oamenii gri se inmultesc.
Atunci cand eu nu mai iubesc...
Oamenii spun ca eu sunt nebun!
Oamenii cred ca eu nu mai cred.
Oamenii tac cand se impart.
Oamenii spun ca eu sunt nebun!
Oamenii spun ca eu sunt nebun!
Oamenii cred ca eu nu mai cred
Oamenii sar atunci cand le spun
Oamenii spun ca eu sunt nebun...
Sari, sari... adica sari
The lyrics to Travka's song "Jump" are repetitive and straightforward, but they convey a sense of alienation and frustration with the way society perceives and treats the singer. The repeated lines "people say I'm crazy" and "people think I don't believe anymore" suggest that the singer is at odds with the norms and expectations of those around him. The use of the word "jump" as a refrain adds a sense of urgency and defiance, as if the singer is challenging those who doubt him to take a leap of faith or follow his lead.
The second verse adds another layer to the song's theme of isolation, as the singer notes how "gray people" multiply when he stops loving. This could be interpreted as a commentary on how conformist and apathetic individuals tend to outnumber those who dare to be different or passionate. The third and fourth verses repeat the same pattern of accusation and pushback, as the singer insists that he is not crazy or misguided, but that people are not understanding him or choosing to ignore him.
Overall, "Jump" is a song about standing up for oneself and one's beliefs, even in the face of ridicule or indifference from others. It celebrates the power of individuality and suggests that sometimes, one must take a leap of faith to truly live life on one's own terms.
