The band was originally named NC17 but had to change their name due to some dispute with a US band of the same name. The original drummer was Morris Palter (from inception to 1997) who is now a reknowned percussionist and assistant professor of music.
The band released 5 studio albums in their time, but Greig Nori disbanded Treble Charger in 2006, ending its 14 year existence.
Greig Nori continues to work for Bunk Rock Entertainment as the manager/producer of Canadian Rock Band Sum 41.
Bill Priddle is involved with many projects post-Treble Charger, working with Broken Social Scene and Don Vail as well as releasing an album of solo material as The Priddle Concern
Trevor MacGregor was the drummer during what was the last 9 years of Treble Charger, thus making him the longest drummer to stay with them. He is now currently the drummer of Four Square.
On January 20, 2012, it was confirmed that the band will reunite (without Martin and MacGregor).
Another Dollar
Treble Charger Lyrics

'Cause I could use the change
Haven't you heard? Things are way more absurd
They're even kind of strange
Nothing you say could change me
And things are as bad as they can be
Forget who's right
So why do we even bother?
'Cause I don't recall inviting you here
You're spending another dollar
Watching me fall
You've placed the blame
It's too late to reclaim
The state of mind we're in
It doesn't look so good, I'd get out if I could
And never start again
You've tasted some brand new flavors
And used up the last of your favors
Forget who's wrong
I knew it'd be you all along
The lyrics to Treble Charger's song "Another Dollar" seem to address the feeling of being tired, fed up, and defeated. The singer seems to be at a point in their life where they are ready for change but are uncertain if the change will come. The opening line, "Maybe this time, I'm finally losing my mind," suggests that the singer is going through a difficult time and is open to the idea of a change or a shift in their situation. The phrase "I could use the change" reinforces this idea and hints at the possibility of the singer's current circumstances being unfulfilling or unpleasant.
The song's chorus, "So why do we even bother? / 'Cause I don't recall inviting you here / You're spending another dollar / Watching me fall," seems to express a sense of hopelessness or despair. The idea that someone is "spending another dollar" to watch the singer fall could be interpreted as a metaphor for the people in their life who continuously doubt or criticize them. The line "Why do we even bother?" could be seen as a rhetorical question that asks why the singer even bothers to try and change their situation when it seems like others are determined to see them fail.
The second verse seems to suggest that the singer's state of mind is not in a good place, and they wish they could start over. "It doesn't look so good, I'd get out if I could / And never start again," suggests a desire to start fresh or escape the current situation entirely. The line "You've placed the blame" could be interpreted as the singer acknowledging that they've been responsible for some of their own problems, but that it's too late to fix them now.
