1) Led by former Haste the Day vocalist, Jimmy Ryan, Trenches is an ambient hardcore band hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, and also Indianapolis, Indiana. The style of music they play is relaxing while energizing. The new album "The Tide Will Swallow Us Whole" was released in stores on September, 16th 2008.

@Fall4Kingdom Sreamo and Screaming are two totally separate things. Screamo is a musical subgenre of hardcore punk which predominantly evolved from emo. I would consider Treanches to be Progressive metal, or even perhaps Metalcore or experimental in some cases. They just happened to put in the screaming. It's really not that big of a deal.

i would put them metalcore.. idk maybe because they sprouted from haste the day and haste the day was always straight up metalcore.. but idk they seem very melodic.. so maybe melodic metalcore?
