Trip The Landmine
Trenches Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
All I can do to keep myself awake
Walls around the center
We’re running out of time
To make these cities move
As the water drips from my brow
I know I am dreaming
I walk around it, I'm only dreaming
Bleed and I burn, walk away
Focusing the lens
Around your faceless abundances
I bleed I bleed I burn this time
I Sink the burden
Raise your fingers
Trip the landmine
The lyrics of Trenches's song Trip The Landmine convey a sense of urgency and desperation. The first line, "Lost among the fever," creates a feeling of confusion and disorientation. The singer is struggling to stay awake, perhaps due to physical exhaustion or mental fatigue. They are trapped within walls, unable to escape the chaos around them. The next line, "We’re running out of time," suggests that there is a deadline or impending doom looming over them.
The chorus of the song, "Bleed and I burn, walk away / Focusing the lens / Around your faceless abundances / I bleed I bleed I burn this time / I Sink the burden / Raise your fingers / Trip the landmine" is repetitive and intense. The singer is willing to sacrifice themselves and endure pain in order to achieve their goals. They are focused on their mission, even as it causes them harm. The line "Trip the landmine" seems to suggest that they are willing to take risks and make sacrifices in order to achieve their objectives, even if it means risking everything.
Overall, the lyrics of Trip The Landmine are tumultuous and emotionally charged, expressing a sense of urgency and determination in the midst of turmoil and danger.
