Both are also members of Nine Inch Nails and How to Destroy Angels.
They have won 2 Academy Awards and 2 Golden Globes for Best Original Score for "The Social Network" and "Soul" alongside Jon Batiste
The music is electronic in basis, but mostly organic sounding with lots of experiments and emphasis on sound fraying around the edges while focusing on the proper emotional tone for the various scenes.

@Guillaume Glade Okay but I’m sorry if I seemed like a douchebag. I kind know myself for being irritated for no reason. I do tend to forget that they are separate but them being own by a big family company is making me think less about those studios tied to Disney as in being owned.
Generally I think Marvel has done well as a studio and the films are great. I think it’s the studio with the least fighting among people and has the most balance with audiences.
Pixar was a bit annoying with sequels but now they seem to be going in a better future with all the sparkshorts and reaching for originality again, while being able to break some boundaries without causing too much stir. (They already did this by using the word “ass” in Purl as well as mature themes executed well in most of their films.)
Disney itself. Well it’s full of nostalgia and it’s probably for money and some modern conformity, but it’s not expanding enough or it downgrades the charms of the original.
Lucasfilms has scattered positives under a lot of dirt, fandom fighting and is generally unstable.

I like how Gardner seriously thought that 22 never tried anything in this place. Just another round of activities and stuff you was passing through like 1000 of times before and then another guy offers you this again lol

As both a NIN fan and a Disney Pixar fan this was an extremely enjoyable element to an already fantastic film. I can't be the only one that could hear little bits of NIN in parts of the score.

Agreed. Was enjoying the score, completely unaware who was behind it. Trent and atticus blitzed it. Will buy this halo for the kids.

The man who wrote The Downward Spiral is now scoring Disney movies. OK then, I'm no longer shocked by anything in 2020.

@SoulCrow3055 I mean, I wasn't trying to be rude ;) Disney owns lots of studios now, which I find is damageable - and confusing. And in term of quality a Disney animated film is much less interesting than a Pixar film, and one of the reasons why is that Pixar hired artists like Reznor and Ross to score the music for their film, which I doubt Disney would ever do for their own consumerist and opportunistic movies, live or animated.

Okay I’m f*ckning sorry. I don’t know how to tie movies and companies without immediate association. If it’s own by a bigger company I just call it that because it’s easier and I can’t spilt sh!t for some reason when it comes too specific properties.
Guillaume Glade
@SoulCrow3055 It's like saying all Pixar films that came out since 2006 are Disney films, when they aren't. It's Pixar's sense of creativity and originality that brought Reznor and Ross into the creative process of Soul.

@SoulCrow3055 Disney owns Pixar Animation Studio, that doesn't make it a Disney film
