Out your name
You know that I'm falling and I don't know what to say
I'll speak a little louder
I'll even shout
You know that I'm proud and I can't get the words out
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I
I want to be with you everywhere
(Wanna be with you everywhere)
Something's happening
Happening to me
My friends say I'm acting peculiarly
C'mon baby
We better make a start
You better make it soon before you break my heart
Oh I
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I
I want to be with you everywhere
(Wanna be with you everywhere)
Can you hear me calling
Out your name
You know that I'm falling and I don't know what to say
Oh come along baby
We better make a start
You better make it soon before you break my heart
Oh I
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I
I want to be with you everywhere
(Wanna be with you everywhere)
The lyrics to Trevor Jackson's "Everywhere" speak to a feeling of intense yearning and desire for someone. The singer is "calling out" the person's name, unable to express their feelings coherently. They want to be with this person "everywhere," emphasizing the intense desire they feel for them. This sentiment is further emphasized by the repetition of "Oh I want to be with you everywhere" throughout the song.
The lyric "something's happening, happening to me / my friends say I'm acting peculiarly" acknowledges the transformative power of love. The singer's behavior changing as a result of their new feelings is a common trope in love songs, and it is no different here. The urgency of the second verse, urging the person to "make a start" with the singer before they "break [their] heart," further emphasizes the intense emotion present in the song.
Overall, "Everywhere" is a song that expresses a desire for someone in a straightforward and almost childlike way. The singer is honest about their feelings, while still acknowledging the transformative power of love.
