And I cant forget it
We had our ups and downs
But I don't regret it
I never meant to hurt
You and your feelings
And now its been too long
Time is the best healing
And you act like you don't even know me
And Im not sure you know where you're going
And I hope you don't hold any anger
But now its just like you're a stranger
I saw you at the bar
You were all by yourself
I avoided eye contact
Cause I was with someone else
You still look beautiful
I hope that you know this
And I walked right by you
I know that you noticed
And you act like you don't even know me
And Im not sure you know where you're going
And I hope you don't hold any anger
But now its just like you're a stranger
And you act like you don't even know me
And Im not sure you know where you're going
And I hope you don't hold any anger
But now its just like you're a stranger
And you act like you don't even know me
And Im not sure you know where you're going
And I hope you don't hold any anger
But now its just like you're a stranger
In Trevor Something's "Stranger," the lyrics suggest a complicated relationship between two people who used to be good friends, but have since grown apart. The song's narrator expresses regret for any hurt he may have caused his former friend and hopes that time can heal their wounds. Despite this, when they cross paths again, the friend seems to act like she doesn't know the singer, which prompts feelings of confusion and sadness.
The first stanza sets the stage for the song's message - that time can change the dynamics of a relationship. The singer acknowledges that he and his friend had their fair share of ups and downs, but he doesn't regret their time together. However, he is aware that he may have hurt his friend in the past, and he hopes that she can forgive him.
In the chorus, the singer expresses confusion over his friend's actions. She acts like she doesn't know him, and he's not sure where she's going in life. He hopes that there's no anger between them, but it feels like she's now a stranger to him.
The second verse takes place when the singer sees his former friend at a bar. He's with someone else, so he avoids eye contact, but he still notices how beautiful she looks. When he walks right by her, he knows that she's aware of his presence, but she still acts like she doesn't know him.
The repetition of the chorus emphasizes the singer's disappointment and feelings of disconnectedness from his former friend. Despite the fact that they used to be close, it's as if they're complete strangers now.

I LOVE the old school fade at the end of the song where i can still here Trevor's voice. Reminds me of old vinyl records that don't just cut off at the end . That fade is SO IMPORTANT TO THE listening experience.

@XTRABIG: I absolutely 💯 agree with you! The fade at the end of a song really leaves you longing for another hit, are the exclamation point at the end of a very powerful and important song that not all songs deserve, but the ones that do, its just right! 🎶 💔
