Songz was born Tremaine Aldon Neverson on November 28, 1984, in Petersburg, Virginia. Raised a military brat, he recognized his vocal abilities at the age of 14. Reluctant to sing, he began performing with encouragement by friends and family. After graduating from high school, Songz moved to New Jersey to begin his music career.

The album debuted at number 11 on the Billboard 200, selling more units than his previous album, I Gotta Make It. The lead single, “Wonder Woman”, peaked at number 54 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, but failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.
The second single, “Can’t Help but Wait”, peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100, and at number two on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart; it became Songz’s highest charting debut on the Hot 100, and his first-charting R&B single on the R&B charts.[citation needed] “Can’t Help But Wait” charted at number 74 on the Billboard Pop 100 in February 2008. The third single off of “Trey Day”, “Last Time”, peaked on number 69 on the Billboard Hot 100, and at number nine on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. In 2008, Songz was nominated for a BET Award for Best Male R&B Artist.

Outside Pt. 1
Trey Songz Lyrics

Just want your body on this morning dew
I got these covers laying right for us
Ain't nobody looking, it's just mother nature watching us
I feel like tonight we should switch it up
No couch, no bed, no kitchen floor
Uh, can I take your body on a ride
I basically, wanna do it to you outside
Top down with the stars looking inside
Always wanted to do you in the pool,
And all night all our light is the moon
I don't want nobody more than you
I Just want your body on this morning dew
Now, I got these covers laying right for us
Ain't nobody looking, it's just mother nature watching us
Outside, front seat of my car, underneath the stars
Let's make love
Outside, I don't really care, if anybody sees us
Making love, I want you to keep going baby
Making love, I don't care if they call us crazy
Outside, I don't even care, anyone can stare
While we're outside
If you catch someone looking all you gotta do is close your eyes
Girl don't you say a peep, dig your nails into my spine
We can take it to the roof top baby,
Or the elevator then take it to the roof top baby
With you on top baby, no need to be curious about what I'm gonna do
I wanna make your you know storm tonight
I don't want nobody more than you
Just want your body on this morning dew
I got these covers laying right for us
Ain't nobody looking, it's just mother nature watching us
Outside, front seat of my car, underneath the stars
Let's make love
Outside, I don't really care, if anybody sees us
Making love, I want you to keep going baby
Making love, I don't care if they call us crazy
Outside, I don't even care, anyone can stare
While we're outside
I don't want nobody more than you
Just want your body on this morning dew
I got these covers laying right for us
Ain't nobody looking, it's just mother nature watching us.
In Trey Songz's song "Outside Pt. 1," he expresses his desire to be intimate with his partner in a variety of outdoor locations. He sets the scene by describing the morning dew and covers laid out, emphasizing the intimacy of the moment. Trey suggests spicing things up by taking his partner to various locations, such as a park with a slide, a pool, and even the rooftop of a building. Despite the possibility of being seen by others, Trey assures his partner that he does not care and encourages her to keep going. The song ends with Trey repeating that he only wants his partner and confirms that it is just Mother Nature who is watching them.
Through these lyrics, Trey Songz portrays a sense of adventure and passion. He is willing to try new things and is not concerned about social norms when it comes to expressing his love physically. By describing various outdoor settings, he adds a hint of danger and excitement to the song, creating a thrill for both him and his partner. The repeated phrase "I don't want nobody more than you" emphasizes the commitment Trey has to his partner and reinforces the idea that nothing else matters as long as they are together.
Overall, "Outside Pt. 1" is a sensual and playful song that explores the desire to be intimate with a partner in unconventional locations. It highlights the importance of being adventurous and not letting social norms dictate how one expresses their love.

This is one of those times where I REALLY understand why everyone loves to hear him sing about sex. His voice... his passion... his unique ability to speak into a microphone and bring chills to my body with the words that come from his lips... its mindblowing. It's very rare that a singer can capture that pure feeling... and Trey does it the best, no doubt.
