había una señal de nuestros corazones
si la puedes ver
tú si la puedes ver oh, oh.
de despedida.
Tanto tiempo tuvo que pasar
tanto tiempo sin saber
Y ahora que feliz estaba yo
te acuerdas de mí oh, oh
vuelves diciendo
qué pudo ocurrir
como buscando tu orilla
en mi lago de ilusión
The lyrics to Triana's song "Corre" tell the story of a long-lost love that unexpectedly returns to the singer's life, causing a flood of emotions and memories. The song begins by describing a message sent through a shooting star, a symbol of their true love that has been kept alive despite the distance and time that has passed. The singer invites their former lover to look up at the same star and see how the sign has been there all along. The song is written as a narrative, with the singer reflecting on the past and the present.
The chorus of the song expresses the singer's initial confusion and disbelief - they have spent so much time apart, they never expected their lover to come back into their life. As the song progresses, the singer's tone shifts from surprise to excitement and longing. They remember how happy they were before, and wonder what could have happened to cause their separation. They compare their relationship to a lake of hope and dreams, which their lover is now returning to.
Overall, the lyrics to "Corre" are powerful and emotional, reminiscing on a love that has been rekindled after years of being apart. The shooting star is a strong metaphor representing the communication that has been sustained between the two, despite the distance.
