Brian began his music career as a guitarist and programmer for famed electronic artist BT. Brian toured nationally with BT and contributed additional music, programming and guitars to several films, TV shows, and to BT’s album This Binary Universe (2006).
In 2005 Brian joined forces with his older brother Laurence to create Trifonic. Trifonic’s first track, a breaks mash-up called “Bored on Your Backside”, was the top vote getter in WIRED Magazine’s 2005 Freestyle remix contest. Trifonic dropped its debut album Emergence in 2008, a critically-acclaimed collage of downtempo, dub, IDM, post-rock and ambient music that established Trifonic’s distinctly unique sound. Emergence’s standout track “Parks On Fire” was featured on Hybrid’s compilation album Soundsystem 01 (2008), and several of the tracks have appeared in TV shows like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS) and 90210 (CW).
Trifonic followed up Emergence with the remix EP Remergence (2008) and the EP Growing Distance (2009). Trifonic has also collaborated with top electronic artists on tracks including “Can You Hear Me (Trifonic Remix)” by Hybrid (2010), “With Angels (Trifonic Remix)” by Hecq (2011), and “Quadcore” by Boom Jinx, Andrew Bayer, Matt Lange, and Trifonic (2011, Anjunadeep).
In addition to his work with Trifonic, Brian has contributed music to multiple award-winning video game soundtracks include Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Revelations, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Borderlands, Borderlands 2, and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.
Trifonic’s second full-length album Ninth Wave will be available November 13, 2012.

We're feeling like sin while we're trying to lose
Like martyrs we'll die for what's shiny and new
But for now
We will have to
Have to make due
Show me there's life in here
And hold me when
Hold me when I have fear
Help me dig deeper than skin and I will follow you anywhere
Just show me this
Show me there's life in here
Beggars can wait while the lion still chews
We're feeling the hits while we're crying the blues
Like brothers we'll fight for what's shiny and new
This is how
This is how
How we undo
Show me this
Show me there's life in here
And hold me when
Hold me when I have fear
Help me dig deeper than skin and I will follow you anywhere
Just show me this
Show me there's life in here
Is there life in here?
Show me life
Is there life in here?
Hold me tight
Is there life in here?
Show me life
Show me this
Show me there's life in here
Is there life in here?
Hold me tight
And hold me when
Hold me when I have fear
Is there life in here?
Help me dig
Help me dig deeper than skin and I will follow you anywhere
Is there life in here?
Show me life
Show me this
Show me there's life in here
Is there life in here?
The lyrics of Trifonic's song "Life In Here" explore the human experience of seeking greater meaning and depth beyond the superficialities of life. The opening lines reference Harlem, a historically vibrant and culturally significant neighborhood in New York City. However, despite the lure of external pleasures, the singer recognizes the emptiness of such pleasures and seeks a way to connect with something greater. The line "Like martyrs we'll die for what's shiny and new" emphasizes the longing for something seemingly unattainable.
The chorus of the song emphasizes the need for someone to guide and support the singer in their journey towards deeper meaning. The repeated plea for someone to "show me there's life in here" and to "hold me when I have fear" highlights the vulnerability and insecurity that comes with this search for greater understanding. The singer is willing to follow another person if they can show them the way towards a deeper existence.
The second verse highlights the pain and struggles that often come with this search for greater meaning. The line "We're feeling the hits while we're crying the blues" is a nod towards the emotional toll that the journey can take. However, the singer recognizes the importance of fighting for a life that goes beyond the surface-level and values the deeper connections that can be made with others.
Overall, "Life In Here" is a meditation on the human experience of seeking meaning beyond the surface-level and the importance of connection with others in this journey.
