Los Panchos reached fame internationally with their romantic songs, especially in Latin America, where they are still regarded as one of the top trios of all time. They sold millions of album copies within a few years of being founded.
Julito Rodriguez joined the group in 1952; he was replaced by Johnny Albino in 1958.
The Albino era was one of the most prosperous ones for Los Panchos, as Albino proved to be a very popular singer among Los Panchos fans for ten years. His departure in 1968 was a tumultuous one, as he did not leave on good terms with the group's management.
Los Panchos still continue to perform concerts across Puerto Rico, the United States and Latin America, with a newer cast of singers.

Pero nos tuvo a mi hermano y a mi para darle animos hasta el ultimo dia de Vida .... Mi padre se llama ALBINO y esta muriendo ahorita de cancer...y esta cancion era una de sus favoritas....es un homenaje a su memotia...papa, que afortunado eres por haber vivido 90 años y tambien yo por disfrutarte el tiempo que estuviste a mi lado. . Buen viaje y ve al encuentro con Dios...

Cuando era un adolescente ignorante, inmaduro y carente de sentido común, reía a carcajadas al ver la reacción de mi padre con esta hermosa música. Como extraño a mi viejo aún hayan pasado 30 años de su muerte. Como me gustaría que estuviera vivo, para sentarme con él a tomar algo y escuchar estas preciadas joyas. Descansa en paz mi viejo.
