Los Panchos reached fame internationally with their romantic songs, especially in Latin America, where they are still regarded as one of the top trios of all time. They sold millions of album copies within a few years of being founded.
Julito Rodriguez joined the group in 1952; he was replaced by Johnny Albino in 1958.
The Albino era was one of the most prosperous ones for Los Panchos, as Albino proved to be a very popular singer among Los Panchos fans for ten years. His departure in 1968 was a tumultuous one, as he did not leave on good terms with the group's management.
Los Panchos still continue to perform concerts across Puerto Rico, the United States and Latin America, with a newer cast of singers.

Comprende lo que sufro yo
Canto...
Pues ya no puedo sollozar
Solo...
Temblando de ansiedad estoy
Todos...
Me miran y se van
Mujer...
Si puedes tu con Dios hablar
Preguntale si yo alguna vez
Te he dejado de adorar
Al mar
Espejo de mi corazon
Las veces que me ha visto llorar
La perfidia de tu amor
Te he buscado por do'quiera que yo voy
Y no te puedo hayar
Para que quiero otros besos
Si tus labios no me quieren ya besar
Y tu...
Quien sabe por donde andaras
Quien sabe que aventura tendras
Que lejos estas de mi
Te he buscado por do'quiera que yo voy
Y no te puedo hayar
Para que quiero otros besos
Si tus labios no me quieren ya besar
Y tu...
Quien sabe por donde andaras
Quien sabe que aventura tendras
Que lejos estas de mi
De mi
The lyrics of Trio Los Panchos's song "Perfidia" speak of unrequited love, heartbreak, and the agony of searching for someone who has already moved on. The song begins with the singer expressing his pain and suffering, which no one seems to understand. He sings because he can no longer cry, and he is alone, trembling with anxiety, while everyone looks at him and then disappears. He then addresses an unknown woman, asking her to inquire of God if he has ever stopped loving her. The sea is then referenced as a mirror reflecting the singer's heart, which has shed countless tears because of the perfidy (treachery) of her love.
The singer then describes his futile search for the woman, confessing that he cannot find her anywhere. He has no desire for the kisses of others if her lips will not kiss him back. The song ends with the singer wondering where she is and what adventures she is having, lamenting how far away she is from him.
The song's lyrics exquisitely capture the pain of heartbreak and longing. The melody, with its melancholic tones, further emphasizes the sorrowful theme of the lyrics. "Perfidia" is one of Trio Los Panchos's most famous songs and has been covered by numerous artists over the years.
