Fischer announced his departure from Celtic Frost in May 2008 and shortly afterwards revealed his new project would be entitled Triptykon. The name of the band is the Greek word for "triptych", and is aimed at stating that Triptykon is founding member Thomas Gabriel Fischer's third project after Hellhammer and Celtic Frost. The band logo is inspired by a writing pattern used during the time of the Weimar Republic.
On August 5, 2009, Triptykon issued a press release indicating the recording of their debut album, Eparistera Daimones, would commence in the middle of August and continue through November, with a release in the spring of 2010.[4][5]
On December 21, 2009, Triptykon issued a new press release to reveal Prowling Death Records Ltd. entered into a licensing agreement with Century Media Records to release Eparistera Daimones on March 22, 2010.[6]
A follow-up EP, entitled Shatter, was released on October 25, 2010.[7] A music video for the song Shatter has also been released.
It was announced on October 22, 2013 that the new album will be titled Melana Chasmata.[8]
On February 7, 2014, Melana Chasmata's release date was revealed as being on April 14, 2014. The new album was received by music critics with a widely excellent critical response.
In early August 2017, Triptykon announced that drummer Norman Lonhard would be exiting the band, and that auditions for a replacement would soon be underway. Lonhard's final performance with the band was at the Party.San Open Air festival in Schlotheim, Germany on August 12th.
Boleskine House
Triptykon Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Have gazed the waves
Have long been closed
Become enslaved
Within these walls
You lastly climbed
With fear engraved
The walls of time
You walked upon
The soil beneath
Your world long gone
In tortured flesh
Your name is called
Inseminate the bornless one
Invisible Gods on planes apart
I thee evoke
Oh western star
The song Boleskine House by Triptykon is a haunting tribute to the infamous Boleskine House in Scotland, which was once the residence of the notorious occultist Aleister Crowley. The song speaks of the eyes that once gazed the waves, suggesting a sense of freedom and adventure, and the fact that they are now closed and enslaved within the walls of Boleskine House. The character in the song is depicted as having climbed the walls of time with fear engraved, indicating a sense of desperation and urgency.
The lyrics then go on to speak of the ground that the character walked upon, highlighting the fact that their world is long gone and they are now living in tortured flesh. The name of the character is called out, as if they are being summoned or invoked, and the song mentions the insemination of the bornless one, which is often seen as a reference to the creation of new life or the beginning of a journey.
The final lines of the song speak of invisible gods on planes apart and the evocation of the western star, which is often seen as a symbol of initiation or enlightenment. Overall, the song paints a dark and foreboding picture of Boleskine House and the occult practices that have taken place there over the years.

One of the most haunting songs hes ever done. Absolutely perfect.

This song was briefly heard in "Dark Star: H.R. Giger's World", a documentary on Giger, when Tom G. was describing his close relationship with Giger. The film is somewhat sad, as it shows Giger as a very frail man close to death (indeed, he died in 2014 shortly after the film was done). This haunting song now feels like Tom's requiem for his close friend... R.I.P. H.R. Giger.

@Immortal God of Gods He said it 'feels' like a requiem to him, we know it's actually about Boleskine house.

This album is going to come out of almost nowhere and crush. I bet even Martin Eric Ain, no disrespect, will be astounded at this masterpiece.

The new Triptykon album is simply brilliant, a true metal masterpiece.
Joe, The Heretic
This album is heavy enough to grind your bones into dust, with all the suffocating dreariness of a funeral march through the shadowy valley of death, and I fucking love it.

Enchanting piece of work! Those female vocals are ethereal and the acoustic work is quite unique from anything I've heard with Tom G Warrior involved. A song of the year contender as far as I'm concerned! :D
