Betrayed
Trisomie 21 Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I can prevent your head to rotate
Don't you feel the heat (that it?) must we forget that life go on
But I can't give birth to someone else
A flock we make sure life is (here?)
You are afraid by words, you keep them from the light
(Your heart) fly away and fly over us
It's hide and seek, must we forget that life go onIt's hide and seek, must we forget that life go on
You spend reality watching
Your (arms) moving in charity
Only banned for love when you die
To defend the man in his tears
You know (?) to the sun
(As we begun mature in both arms?)
The object of motion
You strange woman, you're fond of love
I can prevent your head to rotate
Don't you feel the heat, must we forget that life go on
But I can't give birth to someone else
The object of motion
The object of motion"
The Trisomie 21 song "Betrayed" is a poetic depiction of the complexities of love and relationships. The opening line "Any strange woman, you're fond of love" sets the somber tone for the lyrics that follow. The singer of the song seems to be addressing a lover who is drawn to other women, but is trying to hold onto the relationship.
The singer acknowledges their own limitations, "But I can't give birth to someone else," implying the impossibility of satisfying the lover's desires. The repetition of "It's hide and seek, must we forget that life go on" reminds us of the fleeting nature of relationships and love. The lover's fear of commitment and reluctance to confront their feelings is further emphasized in the line "You are afraid by words, you keep them from the light."
The use of abstract imagery such as "The object of motion" adds to the mysterious and melancholic aura of the song. The lyrics offer a glimpse into the emotional turmoil of failed relationships and the search for meaning in life.
