Subba
Troublemakers Lyrics

Som sprätter omkring i päls
Du borde klubbas
Så som de slår ihjäl en säl
The lyrics of Troublemakers' song Subba are controversial and evoke strong emotions from listeners. The opening line, "Din jävla subba" translates to "You damn subhuman creature," which suggests that the singer is directing their words towards a person of lesser social status or someone they despise. The next line, "som sprätter omkring i päls" which means "flitting around in fur" could be interpreted as a reference to the fashion industry's use of animal fur or a criticism of society's emphasis on wealth and status seeking. This is followed by the phrase "Du borde klubbas," which means "You should be clubbed," suggesting an act of violence towards the object of their anger. Finally, the last line "Så som de slår ihjäl en säl" translates to "Like they beat a seal to death," seemingly equating the person with the innocent animal being slaughtered.
