Take my away
The lyrics of The Prayer by Troye Sivan are quite interesting to interpret as they appear to have multiple layers of meaning. The song starts with the repetition of the word "Cats" which can be interpreted in various ways. Some might see it as a metaphor for the feline-like tendencies of people who try to conceal their true selves. Others might see it as a call to being more honest and authentic. The repetition of the word "nanana" could represent a sense of losing control and freedom, surrendering to the unknown.
The lines "My happy little pill, take my away" indicate the wistful desire to escape from reality and its burdens. The concept of a "happy little pill" is a metaphor for the coping mechanisms people use to deal with their problems. The imagery of being taken away could also be interpreted in various ways - as a call to freedom, a means of seeking refuge, or even as a desire for ultimate transcendence. The song carries an undercurrent of sadness and melancholy, a deep sense of longing for something more than what life can offer.
