Read Full Bio ↴Truckfighters is a stoner rock band from Örebro, Sweden, formed in 2001.
After releasing several demos in 2001 and 2002, they recorded a split-EP with local Swedish band Firestone in 2003. In 2005 they released their debut album Gravity X on both MeteorCity Records and Fuzzorama Records. Their follow-up album, Phi, was released in 2007 by Poison Tree Records in the U.S. and on the Fuzzorama label elsewhere. Their latest album, V, was released on September 30, 2016.
Their sound has been described as classic desert rock, similar to bands like Dozer, Fu Manchu (with whom they have toured), and Kyuss. They have been featured on the MTV Sweden show "Fuzz"
The film Truckfighters by Joerg Steineck and Christian Maciejewski portrays the band's life. It was released in December 2011 and features interviews with Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age. The film provides an ironic, entertaining view of the three "ordinary" guys who transform into Fuzz Monsters onstage.

last day was to end never seen again
only seventeen
he was there for you calling out your name
lisa watch out in the night
this is so unfair
so this is in the air
what if we could call spirits back to us alive
chances are too slim
hold me down inside
when i caught you in the alley
i'm pretty sure that you will die
she will dance in silent hill
a dance that is so still
flowers on the ground
the rain is all that sounds
we lift our heads in the air
too see the meaning of this war
against your own soul
life is too short
to find yourself afraid of his sort
this is not like the plan
you just thought that it had the longer span
your family
won't see your face
anymore
or not even your grace
she wants to dance
i will pray
what if it was my daughter?
hold me down
i will kill
the creep that took
your life
life is too short
to find yourself afraid of his sort
this is not like the plan
you just thought that it had the longer span
experience the being...
not much longer than you're seeing
further away from your frame
who's the man to blame?
life is very frail
it's so easy to fail
climb out the hole
it's a mission to get up with your soul
The song "Calm Before the Storm" by Truckfighters is a dark and emotional narrative about a young woman named Lisa who is abducted and murdered. The song describes the events leading up to her disappearance, the grief and despair of her loved ones, and the struggle to come to terms with such a senseless act. The opening lyrics set the stage with the haunting line "you were going home, last day was to end, never seen again, only seventeen." This paints a melancholy picture of a young life cut short, and the loss that will forever be felt.
The chorus of the song suggests a desire to reach out to the beyond and bring Lisa back, but acknowledges the futility of such hopes with the line "chances are too slim." The second verse pivots to a third person perspective, describing the aftermath of Lisa's death with lines like "she will dance in silent hill, a dance that is so still, flowers on the ground, the rain is all that sounds." The chorus repeats again, emphasizing the feeling of helplessness in the face of overwhelming tragedy.
The final verses of the song turn from mourning to a call for action, with lines like "hold me down, I will kill, the creep that took your life." The song ends on an uplifting note, reminding the listener that "life is very frail, it's so easy to fail, climb out the hole, it's a mission to get up with your soul." Overall, "Calm Before the Storm" is a powerful and emotional reflection on the fragility of life and the impact that senseless violence can have on those left behind.

Estou aqui pelo vídeo da Thais Rory, que contou a trágica história da Lisa e falou sobre esse vídeo. Essa história está difícil de deixar passar. Descanse em paz Lisa. 🥺
@Nikaggressivemission
To everyone who is offended:
Do they glorify the murderer? No.
Also, the video is made like the movie Irreversible, in order to give the viewer an unpleasant experience because of the individuals futility in the situation.
Therefore, calm down.

Very well put insight.
@Kamadox
I just understood people were raging about the video clip, and not the song. Thought it was about "Truckfighters has become slow and boring !".
@Bildevoful
That movie is so brutal. Huge film buff but that one scene is so hard to watch.
@katherinetrombley9089
What's the name of the movie?
@purplemushroomcloud
To those offended: It's a video fuck off. You need that thin ass skin of yours thickened WAY the fuck up.

This is actually based on a true story. Lisa Holm. She was last seen at a coffee shop she worked at. She sms'd her dad that she was on her way home. She didn't show up. Dad went to search for her and found her bike and the keys at the coffee shop parking. Police got involved and looked for her during the night. During the next few days they found lots of items that belonged to Lisa. They were led eventually to her body. Which was found inside a locker. Cause of death was strangulation possibly done by hanging (she was killed in a building across the cafe shop she worked at). DNA were found inside her clothes and around different places were some belonging were found scattered around a large area. The killer was a Lithuanian worker Nerijus Bilevicius 35. He was sentenced to life in prison.
