Read Full Bio ↴Truckfighters is a stoner rock band from Örebro, Sweden, formed in 2001.
After releasing several demos in 2001 and 2002, they recorded a split-EP with local Swedish band Firestone in 2003. In 2005 they released their debut album Gravity X on both MeteorCity Records and Fuzzorama Records. Their follow-up album, Phi, was released in 2007 by Poison Tree Records in the U.S. and on the Fuzzorama label elsewhere. Their latest album, V, was released on September 30, 2016.
Their sound has been described as classic desert rock, similar to bands like Dozer, Fu Manchu (with whom they have toured), and Kyuss. They have been featured on the MTV Sweden show "Fuzz"
The film Truckfighters by Joerg Steineck and Christian Maciejewski portrays the band's life. It was released in December 2011 and features interviews with Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age. The film provides an ironic, entertaining view of the three "ordinary" guys who transform into Fuzz Monsters onstage.

Feels so more then 18 old
Big weels rolling down the road
Feel the hidden burning song
Yeah
Going down to Mexico
I see the station got to stop
Wait aboard Im just filling it up
I see your man years burning away
Bring my car to Mexico (?)
Yeah
Going down to Mexico
Going down to Mexico
My soul let go but no one's too far
I often going on my car
Going down to Mexi-
Going down to Mexi-
Going down to Mexi-
Going down to Mexico
Going down to Mexico
The lyrics to Truckfighters’ song “Mexico” describe a journey to Mexico that feels liberating and exhilarating. The opening line “Going down to Mexico” sets the tone for the rest of the song. The singer of the song feels like they are breaking free from their old ways, as they state “Feels so more than 18 old.” The use of the phrase “18 old” could refer to the age of legal adulthood, which could symbolize a new beginning or a fresh start. The phrase “Big wheels rolling down the road” could also be a metaphor for moving forward in life.
The lyrics also convey a sense of excitement and anticipation. The line “Feel the hidden burning song” suggests that there is something powerful and intense about the journey the singer is on. There is a sense of urgency and passion that is driving them forward. The repetition of the phrase “Going down to Mexico” throughout the song reinforces this idea.
The second half of the song describes the singer’s arrival in Mexico. They stop at a gas station to fill up and then continue on their way. There is a sense of detachment in the line “My soul let go but no one's too far” which suggests that the singer is in a state of emotional detachment due to the intense experience of the journey. Overall, the lyrics of “Mexico” describe a transformative journey that is full of excitement and emotion.
