Mongolo's land
Je suis sûr c'est pas normal
Mongolo's land
Ce coup sur ton moral
Mongolo's land
Il a dû s'en prendre un coup
Mongolo's land
Un mauvais coup
The song "Mongolo's Land" by Trust is a commentary on the state of France during the time it was written. The lyrics describe a generation of people who are held hostage by their principles, and how the ascent of stupidity is causing the decline of freedom. The song also talks about the sacrifices made by young soldiers who are sent to fight in wars, and the pain that mothers feel when they lose their sons.
The first verse describes a man who is dressed in a sad-looking jacket that fits well with the general mood of the rest of his life. The rest of his years are held hostage by his principles, and he speaks of how everything balances out and can be calculated. He warns of the ascent of stupidity and the decline of freedom, and how France is easily wooed by those who promise to charm her. He mentions the sacrifices made by young men and the pain of mothers who bury their sons. The second verse talks about a man who makes a lot of noise defending various causes but also puts factories on hold and helps distant friends. He speaks of a government he can't support and warns that the more France is bled, the less she has to defend herself.
In the chorus of "Mongolo's Land," the singer expresses his anguish and disapproval of the current state of France. He says that things aren't normal and that someone has taken a bad hit in "Mongolo's Land." He feels that people always hesitate between good and bad, and their attitude is apathetic and deplorable. He wishes that everyone in France would stand up and raise their voices so that things could be more lively and engaging.
