"This is the record I've wanted to make for a long time now. It's also a first for me. My first solo album, my first country album, and I'm even producing and engineering all by my lonesome," Herrera tells us. "I've been writing country songs since around 1998 and I'm finally in the studio recording some of the songs."
Herrera's country music project may have been a long time coming but it's definitely worth the wait. The record is still in the very early stages and there is no current release date. Check here for performance dates and for news on Tumbledown's much anticipated first release.
Homeward Bound
Tumbledown Lyrics

i dream about where the sun shines all year round
the waving wheat through the fields
and the home cooked meals
you can sleep right on the ground
homeward bound, I'm homeward bound
to my ears such a sweet, sweet sound
now my feet are on the ground
oh lord I'm homeward bound
it's a long hard road and it warms my soul,
to know that I'm almost there
as the day come to a close
I'll have that grass between my toes
and the wind blowin' through my hair
you can smell it in the air, it's the Kitsap County Fair,
can't ya hear em' holler and shout
I got a plan that just can't lose,
I'm gonna drink up all the booze
and then they'll have to carry me out
The lyrics of Tumbledown's song "Homeward Bound" evoke a sense of longing for a place where the sun shines all year round and the simple pleasures of home-cooked food and sleeping on the ground. The song speaks to the idea that no matter how far one may roam, there is always a place where they can find comfort and a sense of belonging. The chorus "homeward bound, I'm homeward bound, to my ears such a sweet, sweet sound" encapsulates this sentiment of finding one's way home after a long journey.
The verses speak to the journey itself, fraught with hardships and struggles, yet with a sense of determination to reach the destination. The "waving wheat through the fields" and "grass between my toes" conjure up images of rural America, while the line "I had my head up in the clouds, now my feet are on the ground" speaks to the idea of being grounded and finding a sense of direction.
Overall, the lyrics of "Homeward Bound" paint a picture of a journey that is both physical and emotional, one that leads the singer back to a place of comfort and familiarity.
