Their 3rd and latest Fault Lines was released on EMI/Warner in 2012, and lead single On My Side from Fault Lines recently won P3's Best Track Of The Year 2012 from audience votes.
Recently Turboweekend has won a bunch of prizes in homeland Denmark, including Hit Song of the Year 2010 with Trouble Is from second album Ghost Of A Chance, the P3 Talent prise 2011, and Best Live Act 2011 at the Danish Music Awards.
In the early years Turboweekend was a lovechild between the sexier parts of the Copenhagens underground rock/pop, and the increasingly popular and diverse electronic club scene. After self-releasing their first 12" single Into You. They signed with CPH Rec back in 2007 and released their debut album ’Night Shift’ that same October. An album that nominated the group for Best Act of The Year in the two biggest award shows in Denmark (P3 Gold and Zulu Awards), and first radio single 'Into You' became a 'Can’t Miss Hit' on P3 (Ugens Uundgåelige) the same week as the band performed on the Roskilde Festival upcoming stage Pavillion Junior. 2nd album Ghost Of A Chance, released on Mermaid Records (Sony BMG) 2009 presented a more focused, less sensationalistic songwriting and production, with roots and branches far beyond the sub culture from which the band initially grew. The Lyrics mainly center on the the ins and outs of love, but also touch on subjects like cultural prejudice (Colors), escapism Erase Myself) and metaphorical reincarnation (Up With The Smoke - Down With The Ash).
3rd album Fault Lines marks an even greater step away from the neon lights and harsh distortion of Night Shift. Find out more through the links below.

Good Morning
Turboweekend Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You've seen details I can't reveal
Old moon I trust you sympathize
You've seen the truth with your pale eye
You've been around the world
I guess these days you're seldomly impressed
But by the way you shine tonight
I must be onto something right!
There are stories meant just for the dark
Once out of shadows they loose their spark
And momentary marriage vows better off broken anyhow
Bright moon I've got just one request
That when you settle in the west
Send message to the sun and say
This love deserves the light of day
This love deserves the light of day
Yes, by the way you shine tonight
I must be onto something right
Send message to the sun and say
This love deserves the light of day
The lyrics to Turboweekend's song Good Morning depict a conversation between the singer and the moon. The singer confides in the moon, acknowledging its vast knowledge of the world and its ability to see details beyond the singer's own understanding. The moon is portrayed as a trustworthy companion that has seen the truth with its "pale eye." The singer also understands that the moon has likely grown accustomed to the wonders of the world, but is still impressed by its brightness in the night sky, suggesting that the singer is on to something special.
The second verse delves deeper into what the singer believes they have discovered. They refer to "stories meant just for the dark," suggesting that what they have found is something hidden or secret that feels more powerful when kept private. The singer also alludes to broken marriage vows, indicating that the love they have discovered may be unconventional or difficult. Nevertheless, they trust that their relationship is worth pursuing despite any obstacles, and they ask the moon for a favor. When it sets in the west, they want it to send a message to the sun, asking it to shine light on their love and bring it into the open.
Overall, the lyrics to Good Morning convey a sense of vulnerability and trust that the singer has in a relationship that may not be traditionally accepted. They rely on the moon as a confidant, and the song's dreamy, ethereal quality underscores the romanticism and hopefulness of the singer's plea.
