Their 3rd and latest Fault Lines was released on EMI/Warner in 2012, and lead single On My Side from Fault Lines recently won P3's Best Track Of The Year 2012 from audience votes.
Recently Turboweekend has won a bunch of prizes in homeland Denmark, including Hit Song of the Year 2010 with Trouble Is from second album Ghost Of A Chance, the P3 Talent prise 2011, and Best Live Act 2011 at the Danish Music Awards.
In the early years Turboweekend was a lovechild between the sexier parts of the Copenhagens underground rock/pop, and the increasingly popular and diverse electronic club scene. After self-releasing their first 12" single Into You. They signed with CPH Rec back in 2007 and released their debut album ’Night Shift’ that same October. An album that nominated the group for Best Act of The Year in the two biggest award shows in Denmark (P3 Gold and Zulu Awards), and first radio single 'Into You' became a 'Can’t Miss Hit' on P3 (Ugens Uundgåelige) the same week as the band performed on the Roskilde Festival upcoming stage Pavillion Junior. 2nd album Ghost Of A Chance, released on Mermaid Records (Sony BMG) 2009 presented a more focused, less sensationalistic songwriting and production, with roots and branches far beyond the sub culture from which the band initially grew. The Lyrics mainly center on the the ins and outs of love, but also touch on subjects like cultural prejudice (Colors), escapism Erase Myself) and metaphorical reincarnation (Up With The Smoke - Down With The Ash).
3rd album Fault Lines marks an even greater step away from the neon lights and harsh distortion of Night Shift. Find out more through the links below.

Neverending
Turboweekend Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
It all came crashing down at my feet
I've seen it all before
In a different city - different street
But something about you made me look again
Maybe I recognized myself in the fall
What are the odds two strangers should meet
Eyes may close and lungs may cease to breathe
Music may stop and everybody leave
But we are neverending
You swang an axe at my core
And I came crashing down at your feet
I've been burned before
In a different fire - different heat
I saw something dancing in the flames
Maybe I recognized myself in your glow
What are the odds it should take a blade
To teach a forrest how to grow?
Eyes may close and lungs may cease to breathe
Music may stop and everybody leave
But we are neverending
Earth may burn - mountains may fall into the sea
Life is a sentence - love will break us free
We are neverending
Eyes may close and lungs may cease to breathe
We are neverending
Music may stop and everybody leave
But we are neverending
The lyrics of Turboweekend's song 'Neverending' are a reflection of the idea that some connections between people go beyond the physical realm and take on an immortal quality. The song reflects the idea that sometimes, we meet people that we instantly connect with, strangers who seem to be kindred spirits despite not having met before. The singer reminisces about how he met someone who dropped their marbles on the floor, and in the process, caused him to look again. In that moment, he sees a reflection of himself in the stranger's fall. It's a moment of realization that brings him closer to the stranger, and he realizes that they were never strangers after all.
The singer continues to describe another encounter, this time with someone who swang an axe at his core, causing him to come crashing down. This person is not a stranger either, and the singer recognizes a fire in their eyes that he has seen before. It's a connection that goes beyond the moment, one that lasts beyond the physical experience. The song goes on to describe the immortal quality of this connection, one that goes beyond the physical plane, one that goes beyond death and destruction.
Overall, the song 'Neverending' is a song about the power of connection and the idea that some connections last beyond the physical world.
