Juggernaut
Twiddle Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Instrumentals
Illuminati hiding faces of the high and mighty
Riding dirty all the way to the orange party
Stealing riches day by day from good people starving
Making money getting paid lying to the dying
Selling greed with political paparazzi
Head of state reminiscent of a fucking nazi
Monsanto corporation pumping poison packaged nicely
A global warning from the warming heating up her body

You want to kick me in the face cuz I'm different
Yeah you think you're king of the hill
Dropping tears like bombs from the innocent
Politicians going straight for the kill

Standing rock standing firm protecting mother's water
Rising up for our women, wives, moms and daughters
Where's the love for the animals left to slaughter
An illegitimate excuse of the highest order
Producing waste like a national house of horrors
Divided country led by bullies, thieves and reporters
The pumpkin king giving orders to secure our borders
Our countries fate lie within the lessons of our fathers

You want to kick me in the face cuz I'm different
Yeah you think you're king of the hill

Dropping tears like bombs from the innocent
Politicians going straight for the kill

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Twiddle's Juggernaut are a poignant critique of the political and corporate systems that control the world. The opening lines refer to the Illuminati, a secret society believed by some to be controlling world events from behind the scenes. The "high and mighty" refers to the elite ruling class who have the power and wealth to make decisions that affect the masses. The "orange party" is a clear reference to the Republican Party in the United States, which is notorious for its anti-regulation and anti-environmental policies.

The next lines talk about how these powerful people are stealing from the good while letting them starve, and how they are paying themselves while lying to the people who are dying. The "political paparazzi" refers to the media circus surrounding politicians, who are more concerned about their image and PR than actual policy making. The line "head of state reminiscent of a fucking nazi" is a powerful indictment of the current state of politics, where authoritarian leaders can rise to power with shocking ease.

The verse then focuses on the environmental destruction caused by corporate greed, particularly by the agribusiness company Monsanto. The warming of the planet is explored as a result of our collective actions, and the consequences for the earth if we don't change our ways. The chorus is a response to those who want to silence dissenters and punish those who are different. It speaks to the abuse of power by politicians and the brutal consequences of their actions.

@blasthf

while this is a little too close to the nose (as a lot of twiddle is) this still is an incredibly relevant song. Twiddle is like moe. Moe said "it's good enough for moe." Ain't that a way to live ur life? This band is too good.
