As of 2006, she has released nineteen albums. Thirty-two of her singles have reached the Number 1 position on Christian radio national airplay charts. These include "He Is Exalted", "God Is In Control", "We Bow Down" and "The Warrior Is A Child". She has received five GMA Dove Awards, and three American Songwriter Awards.
Some of Paris' songs have been included in the hymnals by a variety of churches including the United Methodist church and various Charismatic churches. In recent years, Paris has focused on recording new versions of some of her worship standards and writing new praise and worship music in contrast to contemporary Christian pop songs that she released the latter 1990s.
Her uncle, Loren Cunningham is the founder of Youth With A Mission, while her family started Ecclesia College in Elm Springs, Arkansas, where her brother Oren Paris III is president and father Oren Paris II is chancellor. Paris herself studied theology and sacred music, though she has claimed to have placed little emphasis in her formal studies on composition or songwriting. Beyond songwriting, she is the author of four books, three of which focus on contemporary Christian theology.
She and her husband Jack Wright have one child, Jack Paris Wright, born April 29, 2001.
Although widely associated for much of her career with Star Song Records, EMI switched her over to the Sparrow label in 1996, before her contract ended after 2003. In 2005, she switched to Michael Coleman's INO label.
The Time Is Now
Twila Paris Lyrics

The earth can hold the tears of all its children
We wonder what became of Eden
While we live in the garden we have grown
But there will be hope when we finally understand
We were never meant to make it on our own
Chorus:
To hear the call
From the Father of creation
Comes an answer for us all
The time is here
The time for you
If you seek, then you will find Him
And the moment that you do
Seal your heart with a sacred vow
The time is now
We look ahead and try to face the future
But find we have no heart for this tomorrow
There is a vision that is brighter
And if we will believe, it’s not too late
For every decision becomes a destination
And today we face a choice that cannot wait
Chorus:
The time is now
To hear the call
From the Father of creation
Comes an answer for us all
The time is here
The time for you
If you seek, then you will find Him
And the moment that you do
Seal your heart with a sacred vow
Now is the time and today is the day
Now is the time and we cannot delay
This is the moment and this is the place
For the mercy, the power, the love, and the grace
Chorus:
The time is now
To hear the call
From the Father of creation
Comes an answer for us all
The time is here
The time for you
If you seek, then you will find Him
And the moment that you do
Seal your heart with a sacred vow
The time is now
The time is now
Now is the time and today is the day
Now is the time and we cannot delay
Now is the time....

The lyrics of this song encourage listeners to take action and seek God in the midst of the world's suffering and uncertainty. The opening lines pose a series of questions about the state of the world, wondering how long the earth can sustain the tears of its children and what happened to the paradise of Eden. The chorus urges listeners to heed the call of God and seek Him out, promising that there is hope and an answer for all those who do so. The lyrics emphasize that we cannot make it on our own and that we need God's mercy, power, love, and grace to face the future.
In the second verse, the lyrics acknowledge the difficulty of facing the future and the sense of hopelessness that can come with it. However, the song offers a brighter vision to those who believe, saying that there is still time to make a difference and that our choices can lead us to a better destination. The final chorus repeats the message of the earlier ones and reinforces the urgency of the moment, emphasizing that now is the time and today is the day to seek God.

We close our eyes and wonder how much longer
We shut our eyes and ponder for how long more
The earth can hold the tears of all its children
The planet can endure the sorrows of all its offspring
We wonder what became of Eden
We are curious about the fate of Eden
While we live in the garden we have grown
While we inhabit the backyard we’ve cultivated
But there will be hope when we finally understand
However, optimism will appear when we finally fathom
We were never meant to make it on our own
We were never supposed to handle everything independently
The time is now
The moment to act is present
To hear the call
To pay attention to the invocation
From the Father of creation
From the originator of all existence
Comes an answer for us all
A response arrives for everyone
The time is here
The hour has come
The time for you
It's your moment
If you seek, then you will find Him
If you wish, you will locate Him
And the moment that you do
And when you do
Seal your heart with a sacred vow
Enclose your heart with a holy oath
We look ahead and try to face the future
We gaze forward and attempt to confront the future
But find we have no heart for this tomorrow
But discover we don't have the determination for that upcoming day
There is a vision that is brighter
There is a more optimistic view
And if we will believe, it’s not too late
And if we will trust, it's not too tardy
For every decision becomes a destination
Because each choice becomes a destination
And today we face a choice that cannot wait
And currently, we confront a decision that can't be delayed
Now is the time and today is the day
At present, it's time and today is the day
Now is the time and we cannot delay
Now is the moment and we can't postpone
This is the moment and this is the place
This is the instant and this is the location
For the mercy, the power, the love, and the grace
For the compassion, the might, the love, and the elegance

Ephesians 5:16 "Redeeming the time for the days are evil." As long as the time is still called NOW, it is never too late to come to the Father of Creation who has been calling you...
