Two Faces Lyrics

She warbles as she flies
But I never give her water
Till the forth day of July.
It is often that I wonder
Why women love men
And I look back and I wonder
Oh, the cuckoo she's a pretty bird
She warbles as she flies
But I never give her water
Till the forth day of July.
Gonna build me another castle
On a mountain so high
So then I can see my true love
As she passes by.
Oh, the cuckoo she's a pretty bird
She warbles as she flies
But I never give her water
Till the forth day of July.
--- Instrumental ---
Jack of Diamonds, Jack of Diamonds
I know you of old
You have robbed my poor pockets
Of silver and of gold.
Oh, the cuckoo she's a pretty bird
She warbles as she flies
But I never give her water
Till the forth day of July
The lyrics in Two Faces's song "2012" are filled with symbolic meanings that reflect on the cyclical nature of life and the transient nature of relationships. The reference to the cuckoo bird adds a layer of symbolism to the song, as it is a bird known for its trickery and deception. The repeated line "But I never give her water/Till the forth day of July" suggests a delay in nourishment or fulfillment, and could represent the singer's reluctance to fully commit to the relationship or perhaps a commentary on the timing of things in life.
The second verse of the song delves into a philosophical questioning of the relationships between men and women, and a contemplation of what makes men men. This could be interpreted as a criticism of societal gender roles or a reflection on the complexities of relationships and human nature.
The last verse brings the focus back to the singer's own desires and wants, expressing a desire to build a castle so high as to be able to see their true love as she passes by. This could symbolize a longing for a relationship that is unattainable or out of reach, or perhaps an acknowledgement of the futility of chasing after material things.
Overall, the lyrics in "2012" are rich with interpretation and could be reflective of the artist's own experiences or commentary on broader themes in society.

A little backstory. Every time the Thing screams, it screams with the combined voices of every living being it has consumed and assimilated. So that scream at 2:03 has Edvard's voice in it somewhere.

Edvard's scream sounds very similar to the original movie's screams. They managed to mimic it almost perfectly. 2:03
