@TheDarkWarrior137
In the crew room, I was sitting on my bed, thinking about a thousand things that I would never have time to list or explain. I had no job to do, so I sat there and waited for orders from the authorities, withering away from idleness. I was anxious to do something, but there was nothing. It was a few days before our next planetary mission, where I had to provide air support for our marines, so everything was quiet, with the exception of the sounds of the cleaning crews in the halls. I couldn't just sit there.
As I stood up to wander aimlessly around our ship, the warning alarms started flashing red and making loud sounds that echoed throughout the ship. Everyone stopped what they were doing and froze to hear the captain through the speakers mounted to the ceiling.
"Attention all personnel: Enemy ship confirmed, bearing 360 degrees! Launch all fighters in the hangar! Repeat! Launch all fighters in the hangar! This is not a drill!"
Finally! Something to do, but who knew it would be this? I scrambled through the halls, dodging the other guys who were running to their battlestations. I ran to the hangar and made my way to my fighter. As I approached the cockpit, I asked the mechanic, "Is this ready to go?"
"Yes," he answered.
I climbed into the cockpit and sealed the canopy. I started the engines and waited for the other pilots to get ready. The mechanics exited the hangar as the other three pilots closed their canopies. "Phantom, this is Dragon. Is your squadron ready," I asked.
"Not yet. starting engines...now!" Their engines roared loudly as they switched on their electrical systems. "Okay! We're ready!"
The hangar doors opened up and all the air in the room rushed out into space. I turned up the throttle and exited the ship and turned left to fly towards the enemy fleet. But as I looked in the distance, I noticed something suspicious. "That's weird. There's only one ship. Keep your guard up. It might be a... holy...that thing is massive!"
"The Behemoth is here! Why here?! They were on the other side of the galaxy last time I heard," Phantom said.
Confusion hit me again. "Wait, what?!"
"The Behemoth! That's the ship that's capable of destroying planets! Imagine what they'll do to us!"
"We have to fight! It's too late to retreat now," I yelled as I raised the throttle to the max.
"Dragon, do not engage! I say again, do not engage! You can't take it on alone! It's going to kill you!"
I interrupted him. "Shut up! We'll die anyway if we try to retreat!"
"I guess you're right."
The laser cannons on the ship opened fire on us. "Look out! Break! Break," I yelled as I dispersed left and they went right. "Look for a weakness and don't get killed, alright?"
"Roger!"
I lost sight of his squadron as we flew on opposite sides of the ship, but I kept dodging lasers and evading, trying not to get shot down while I looked for a weak point. "This thing is probably two miles long! How did they build it?!" I asked.
"Nevermind that. Just focus."
"Roger," I said as our ship joined battle with us. The frigates opened heavy arms fire as well as the flagship. "The fleet is here!" I yelled as I noticed a giant opening in the Behemoth. Fighters started pouring out of it. "Phantom squadron, ten fighters just poured out the side of the Behemoth!"
"Ten?! There's only four of us," Phantom yelled. "Hang on. Engaging fighters," he said as he soared over the Behemoth.
I turned left to engage one of them. He turned right to evade, but I followed him relentlessly. Left, down, right, everywhere. I finally got a lock on and fired a cluster of missiles. The missiles pursued him and impacted with him as parts of his fighter dispersed. "One down. engaging the next!"
"We've got four of them. Only five left," Phantom said.
"No time to keep score! Focus," I yelled as I began pursuing another fighter. A laser hit my right wing. "Taking fire! Shields are still up, though."
"It's about time something hit. Their aim sucks! Ha-ha!"
"Ha! I know, right?" I laughed. I was still evading laser fire when I saw the canopy and the side of the Behemoth light up for a brief second. "Woah! What was that?! Phantom, did you see that?!"
"Our frigates blasted a hole in the front of the Behemoth! What's that light in it?!"
"Light? What light," I asked as I turned around to fly to the front of the ship, ignoring the fighters.
"What the... The laser cannons shut down! Why aren't they firing?!"
I looked into the hole in the front of the Behemoth. The hole was perfectly hexagon-shaped and was about thirty feet wide, continuing into the ship about two hundred feet, with a giant glowing red light at the end, getting brighter and brighter. "Phantom, that's not from our frigates... I think that's... Woah! It's the planet destroyer! The cannon is charging up!" I yelled as I had to turn around to avoid crashing into the Behemoth.
"We can't let them destroy our fleet! Fire into the hole," he yelled as his squadron turned around to attack the laser.
I turned back around and approached the hole. My heart started racing! My entire body started trembling! But I kept going. "Firing missiles and lasers!" The cluster of missiles flew ahead and hit the laser, but didn't destroy it. "Ugh! Just blow up already," I yelled as I turned around to re-engage.
Phantom's squadron flew past me, heading to the laser. "C'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon," he repeated in a panic.
I turned back around to join the attack. "Phantom, tell your squad to fire at the same time! We need to create a large explosion to damage it!"
"Roger. Guys, make sure to match your timing with us. We need to fire at the same time."
We approached the laser head-on. The light was almost blinding. "This thing's about to fire! Hurry up!"
Phantom lost his cool. "Fire everything you've got!"
We all fired our missiles at the same time. I had never been so nervous about a last shot in my entire time in the galactic military as that moment, because if we failed to destroy it there, nothing would stop the Behemoth on its unstoppable onslaught. A few of the missiles started colliding and crashing. The rest flew straight for the laser. The missiles impacted on the laser as a giant explosion lit up the ship. It started to cause a chain of explosions throughout it. "What's happening?!"
"I don't know! Get away from it!"
I turned around and turned up the throttle to full power. The Behemoth started breaking apart and dispersing in three directions. The aft broke off from the bow, and the bow was spit into two pieces. The enemy fighters retreated. "We did it! The Behemoth is down! Ha-ha!" I couldn't help but laugh a little too loudly.
"Woah! Don't bust my eardrums, man," Phantom said.
I completely ignored him. "Ha-ha! That'll teach you to mess with us! Our Starfleet will not fall! Ha-ha!"
Phantom seemed a little too calm. "Alright, Dragon, that's enough laughing for now. Let's get back to the ship."

Good. Make something awesome with this music.
@moilar7985
The first time I heard it, all that came to mind was the ending of Words of Radiance. (Especially 2:16.) Then I wished I could draw an epic scene of Kal and Szeth in the storms, battling to the death and the top of a plateau getting flung up in the background. (Spoiler alert.) And then I cry because I can't actually make it.
