Before forming Two Tongues, Max Bemis, Chris Conley and Coby Linder had previously collaborated on a cover song of Bob Dylan's "The Man In Me" for the compilation album Paupers, Peasants, Princes & Kings: The Songs of Bob Dylan, released by Doghouse Records in 2006. After the successful collaboration, Bemis asked Conley about potentially doing an album together, to which Conley responded positively by saying "I would do it with no one else, nothing could be more epic!”
Thus, Two Tongues was born.
Come on
Two Tongues Lyrics

We're on the floor
Sold my soul for just one more
I reach to touch
Your broken hips
I pull you in close as I kiss
Come on, come on
I won't let you down again
Come on, come on
Get up, get up, get up
I won't let you down again
You make me pay every time
Is this love an endless crime?
I feel you here deep inside
You make me feel alive
Come on, come on
Get up, get up, get up
I won't let you down again
Come on, come on
Get up, get up, get up
I won't let you down again
Love, love, love...
Again, again, again...
Come on, come on
Get up, get up, get up
I won't let you down again
Come on, come on
Get up, get up, get up
I won't let you down again
The lyrics of "Come On" by Two Tongues might require a mature interpretation, as it is a love song, which can involve certain situations and feelings that are not suitable for everyone. The song portrays a couple who are in bed or on the floor, perhaps after a passionate night, where they shared everything, including their souls. The singer sold his soul to the devil to be with his lover for one more moment, probably indicating that he did something wrong to have her by his side. The reference to "broken hips" suggests that his lover is older or injured, and yet her charm is so powerful that he cannot keep his hands off her.
The chorus illustrates a lover's plea, trying to convince his partner to trust him again. He promises to never let her down and to be there for her, always. However, the lyrics following that indicate that their relationship is not a bed of roses. The singer questions if their love is endless crime, perhaps due to the constant pain and suffering they share. Yet, he admits that the feeling of being with his lover makes him feel alive. The closing lines repeat the chorus, implying that the singer is indeed honest in his intentions to do everything to be with his partner.
