Helmiä
Tyrävyö Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Anna katson vielä kerran eteiseen,
Kun sen jälleen poistun pakkaseen
Lumi leijuu ilmeettömiin kasvoihin.
Ulospääsyn kai löytää nopeimmin,
Mutta voiko vielä päästä takaisin,
Sisään niin turhaan on jonottaa,

En tiedä mikä odottaa,
En ehkä selville mä saa.
Turhauttavaa,
Aina tie vie samaan paikkaan.

Tahdon löytää pieni vapauteen.
En tahdo jäädä tänne pimeyteen.
Näen kynttilöiden sammuneen.
Tahdon löytää pieni valoineen.
En tahdo jäädä tänne pimeyteen.
Voimavarat vähenee.

Anna katson vielä kertaalleen,
Kunnes jälleen palaan uudelleen
Sade pisarat minut kastelee.
Ulospääsyn kai löytää nopeimmin,
Voinko silti vielä päästä takaisin,
Jäänkö tänne kylmyyteen?

Ja sulla on paha olla,
Miten voisin sitä helpottaa?

En voi helmiä tarjota,
Ei ne kelpaa kuitenkaa

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Tyrävyö's song Helmiä speak of a sense of being trapped, both physically and emotionally. The singer is standing in the entryway, watching as they head out into the snow and cold once again, unsure if they will be able to return. It's frustrating to feel stuck in the same place, never knowing what lies ahead. The desire for freedom and light is strong, but the candle flames have died out and their energy is dwindling.

There also seems to be a struggle with wanting to help someone who is suffering, but not knowing how. The line "En voi helmiä tarjota, Ei ne kelpaa kuitenkaan" translates to "I cannot offer pearls, they are not wanted anyway." This perhaps speaks to the idea that sometimes dealing with someone's pain or struggles requires more than just a tangible gift or solution.

Overall, the song Helmiä captures the sense of being lost and stuck, both physically and emotionally, and the desire to find a way out and towards something better.
