The Fall
U.I Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Feels like only yesterday
We said things couldn't be any worse
Now I'm holding onto something
I'm seeing things differently
And moving in reverse
Fire
Falling from the skies
Feels like fire's falling
Rain down
Let me close my eyes
When I wake up
I wonder
Where you are
When I wake up
I wonder
Where you are
I'd like to fall down through
The mattress, naked, lost in you
Made up of stranger circumstance
An evening left obscured by chance
Hotwire the memory to load
Into the capsule to explode
Bury it
I'd like to fall into the void
Unconscious to the paranoid
Reflection breathing down my neck
Despite the absence of regret
Can't catch the images that
Flicker in the limited wick
Sinking down through
The melted wax of sleep
Fire
Falling from the sky
Feels like fire's falling

Rain down
Let me close my eyes

Overall Meaning

The Fall by U.I is a thought-provoking song that reflects on the temporary nature of life and the ever-changing nature of human emotions. The song begins by expressing a feeling of despair, the feeling that things could not get worse. However, the singer is now experiencing something different and is seeing things in reverse, which is exemplified in the lyric "And moving in reverse." The song's central theme seems to be an acknowledgment that life is fleeting, and things are always changing, often in ways that are beyond our understanding, "An evening left obscured by chance."

The song's title, "The Fall," is a metaphor for the inevitable decline of life and the eventual end of existence. This is highlighted by the repeated use of the phrase "Feels like fire's falling" and "Rain down." The lyrics also suggest a sense of longing for something lost that cannot be regained, as the singer sings, "When I wake up, I wonder where you are."

The last verse of the song is perhaps the most lyrically dense and enigmatic. The lyric "Can't catch the images that flicker in the limited wick sinking down through the melted wax of sleep" seems to suggest that some things are impossible to grasp or hold on to, and our understanding of them is limited to fleeting, dream-like images.

Guys, ALL the mods are linked in the description, as always. They are all for PC. unfortunately, they are not available on console and the majority cannot be ported over due to dependency on F4SE. Hope that clears everything up :)

@_V1nce It is not as simple as you think. Some mods should be installed before others.

@Spencer Shomaker @Spencer Shomaker Wait, so someone who made mods and publicly released them to make others happy, was upset at the fact that people were rallying support for a country who's being attacked, and whose people are being slaughtered by their aggressive neighbor who's leader is having a power trip moment and who're probably experiencing the worst grief in their lives? What kind of backwards logic is that?

The dude who made the level up menu, as well as a number of other popular mods has taken them down in a fit of rage induced by the Ukraine donation drive. alternate mod would be appreciated.

It is insane what modders can do. Honestly, this is what Fallout 4 could have been. Hopefully, future Fallouts have amazing detail and features like this. Sadly, I am on PS5 so Metro is as close as I can get.
