The lyrics of Ua's song 雲がちぎれる時 (When the Clouds Break) describe the memories of a person from their childhood, where they used to sit on their mother's lap and watch the clouds flow. The person talks about how they wish they could just sleep under the ground and forget about everything. However, they also describe the perseverance of a bird that has just learned about love and is striving towards the clouds. I remember it was long long time ago. This song is in a compilation CD I bought, I was so struck with this incredible voice. And I started to search more of UA's music. And it's very hard to find her album in Malaysia, but I manage to find Turbo and her side project AJICO. And to my surprised, I bought her SUN here in Malaysia which is one of my all time favourite album. Thanks to internet, I am able to get all her CDs, singles, and LP. UA is really an incredible artist. Every single every album she produced always surprised me. Because of her I started to learn Japanese so I can understand her beautiful lyrics. She is super amazing!! To listen to this song again, it brings me back to a moment where one of her recent live concert, where she perform this beautiful song with her Son Nijiro playing the guitar. It's really something.

After pandemic we can have a UA tea party~ Well, we still can have a UA virtual tea party online. :D am very lucky that I able to collect most of her vinyl~ :D I currently self-studying Japanese just try to understand her lyrics.... hahahaha but my Japanese is still no good, but at least now I can understand her songs better~ So, which song/album makes you fall in love with her music? Mine is SUN. That's the album that drives me crazy in love with her ever since.
