2) Undercover was a UK based pop-house group who hit the UK #2 spot in 1992 with their Stock, Aitken, Waterman produced cover of Baker Street. Pop covers of Never Let Her Slip Away and I Wanna Stay With You followed before the demise of the S/A/W 'Hit Factory,' but by then, Undercover's star was starting to fade anyway. They released two studio albums, Check Out the Groove and Ain't No Stoppin' Us!.
3) Undercover was one of the pioneering acts in Christian music. Formed in the early 1980s by Joey "Ojo" Taylor in southern California, Undercover brought a new punk sound to the Contemporary Christian music scene that differed from the Christian rock and Christian metal bands of the time. Through more than two decades and a few lineup changes, the band released eight studio albums and two live albums, and is considered by many to be pioneers in what would later be called Alternative music in the Christian world.
While the band has seen several members come and go (and come again), Taylor has said on more than one occasion that the band decided sometime after 1994's Forum that "Undercover is Ojo, Gym, Sim, and Gary," emphasizing that any other lineup, if any, would in the future be called something else.
Undercover played two reunion shows in California in August 2005. Their first eight albums have been collected into two sets, Anthology 1 (the first four albums on two CDs), and Anthology 2 (the next four albums on four CDs).

Union
Undercover Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Plan their world
Promises made together
Search for union
Without regret
Loving only each other
Life goes on
Can't hold back its rein
Love is strange
Everything changes
Can't hold back its rein
Boy and Girl
Grow in their world
Calling out for each other
Search for union
Without regret
Looking out for each other
Life goes on
When the hour's gone
Can't hold back its rein
Love is strange
Everything changes
Can't hold back its rein
Life goes on
When the hour's gone
Can't hold back its rein
Love is strange
When it's all the same
Can't hold back its rein
The song "Union" by Undercover deals with the theme of love between a boy and a girl. In the first verse, we see the boy and the girl planning their world together, making promises to each other, and searching for a union without any regrets. The second verse shows how they grow in their world, still calling out for each other and looking out for one another. However, the chorus is where the song takes a turn, and we see that despite their love and desire for union, life goes on and time keeps moving forward. The idea that love is a strange thing and that everything changes, and that we cannot hold back the reins of time, is a poignant and realistic take on love and relationships. It's almost as if the song is acknowledging that no matter how much we want to hold onto love and keep things the way they are, the inevitability of life and its changes make that impossible.
Overall, "Union" can be seen as a bittersweet ode to love and relationships. It acknowledges the beauty and power of love while also recognizing that it's not always enough to keep things the same or stop the march of time. The song is a reminder that we should cherish the love we have in the present moment and make the most of our time together because we can't hold back the reins of life forever.
