The band spent their first year writing and recording their debut EP, and following the success of it’s DIY release they won the national music competition ‘Road To V 2009’, and played V Festival alongside McFly, The Killers and Dizzee Rascal. They toured this EP throughout the UK until, in 2010 they went back into the studio to write and record their second EP ‘Just So You Know…’.
This EP was self-released by the band again, and was received with huge success worldwide, through online music sales, and eventually led them to an endorsement from Rockstar Energy Drink.
In 2011 Underline The Sky hit the road again to tour ‘Just So You Know..’, and this year included their first show in Europe and a slot on a festival on the tiny island of Guernsey in the English Channel!
By the end of 2011 Underline The Sky had already notched up over 300 shows, and sold well over 2,000 copies of their first two releases.
In January 2012 Underline The Sky hit the studio again to record their third EP, and debut single with producer Marc Dowding.
“We were really excited to work with Marc. We loved the work he’d done, and we knew he’d be able to help us craft the sound we wanted to go for on this EP [Days Like These]. We just can’t wait to get out on the road and tour the new songs. There’s so much energy in the new EP it’s going to be so much fun to play live!”
Summer 2012 will see Underline The Sky make their debut appearance at the newest of the major UK festivals ‘Latitude’, in support of the release of ‘Days Like These’, and their debut single ‘Bad News’.

What always has been
Always will be
Never expected
My heart to
Skip skip a beat
Looking back
I thought that
I'd never know
Woah
Never know
Woah
I made mistakes
Holding out for
Something more
You came along and
Opened up the door
I thought that
Love was something
That I'd never know
Never know Woah
I must admit
I had a chance
To call your bluff
I must admit
I didn't think
You'd pull it off
You tripped me up
So this how it feels
You've got me
Head over heels
You got me
You got me
Head over heels
You got me
You got me
Head over heels
I let you in the world I'm in
Now I'm addicted
Who'd have thought
This feeling could be
Self inflicted
Looking back
I thought that love
Was something that
I'd never know
Woah
Never know
Woah
I made mistakes
Holding out for
Something more
You came along and
Opened up the door
I thought that
Love was something
That I'd never know
Never know
Woah
I must admit I
Had a chance to
Call your bluff
I must admit
I didn't think
You'd pull it off
You threw me off
So this how it feels
You've got me
Head over heels
You got me
You got me
Head over heels
You got me
You got me
Head over heels
You got me
You got me
Head over heels
You got me
You got me
You got me
Head over heels
You got me
You got me
Head over heels
You got me
You got me
And I'll never know
Never know
Woah
I must admit
I had a chance to call your bluff
I must admit I didn't think you'd pull it off
You threw me off so this how it feels
You've got me head over heels
I must admit
I had a chance to
Call your bluff
I must admit
I didn't think you'd
Pull it off
You threw me off
So this how it feels
You've got me
Head over heels
The song 'Head Over Heels' talks about the unexpected feeling of falling in love. The singer starts off by saying that they used to believe that things that were supposed to happen will happen and that they would never be able to experience love like they see in movies. However, after meeting someone who opened up a new door for them, they realized that love was possible and they were able to experience it for the first time. The singer admits to making mistakes before, but they were holding out for something meaningful, which they found in the person they're singing about. They also admit that they had a chance to call their partner's bluff but were surprised when they were proved wrong. The person they're singing about was able to win their trust and heart, tripping them up and making them feel head over heels in love.
Throughout the song, the singer reflects on their past beliefs about love and how they never expected to experience it. The sudden change of heart takes them by surprise, and they feel addicted to the feeling of being in love. The chorus repeats the lines 'You got me head over heels,' emphasizing the depth of their emotions and how their partner has completely won them over.
Overall, the song captures the feeling of falling in love unexpectedly and realizing that love is possible, even if one has been skeptical about it before. The lyrics express vulnerability and admitting past mistakes but also celebrate newfound love and the feeling of being "head over heels" in love.
