The Sun Will Come
Unified Theory Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You scream a lot, even when I close the door
You glare in hope that this won't help to end it all
End it all
The sun will come,
Peeling back the veil
The sun will come
And pull me out of hell
The stream has slammed the needle past red to fail
The train has fallen from its rails again
Will it end
The sun will come,
Peeling back the veil
The sun will come
And pull me out of hell
To weed out the angry ones
Is to clean out this filthy home
This broken home
The sun will come,
Peeling back the veil
The sun will come

And pull me out of hell
The blood I let

with my flaws

These are the things that I cannot ignore
I cannot ignore
The sun will come,

The lyrics of this song by Unified Theory speak of a person who is undergoing a lot of emotional pain and torment. The singer talks about someone who is screaming a lot and glaring in hope that this won't end it all. This person's stream has slammed the needle past red to fail and the train has fallen from its rails again. In other words, their life's journey has hit rock bottom, and everything seems to be falling apart. But through all this pain, the singer offers hope by saying that the sun will come, peeling back the veil, and pull the person out of hell - a clear reference to the fact that every dark cloud has a silver lining.

The chorus of the song repeats the same lines, saying that the sun will come, peel back the veil, and pull the person out of hell. This is a metaphor for the fact that, no matter how bad things may seem, there is always hope for a better future. The bridge of the song talks about the singer's flaws and the guilt they feel behind these walls. But even here, they cannot ignore the fact that the sun will come and pull them out of hell.

Overall, this song's message is one of hope and resilience, urging listeners to hold on because, no matter how dark things may seem, the sun will come, and the veil will be peeled back, bringing with it healing, redemption, and a better tomorrow.

Saw this band just after this album was released. My wife and I were living in Asheville, NC, and just walking around on a Friday checking out places to go hear some live music. We really didn't see much happening, but we stopped in this one bar, and for really no other reason than it was cold and we were ready to have a few drinks, we paid the $10 and went in. There were very few people there, one of those where the customers seemed outnumbered by the band and bartenders. Neither of us had ever heard of Unified Theory. It was/is one of the best live shows I've ever seen, and I've seen hundreds of good ones over many years. They played like it was a packed house, the sound wasn't great, but their playing and delivery was spot on, crisp and tight, vocals cutting right through the middle, just one of the memorable shows. It was particularly strange because there seriously were probably less than 20 people in the room. They were new to the area, and the weather was nasty, so they were playing essentially an empty room, and killed it.
After the show I walked up to a table where the lead singer was sitting to speak to anyone who bought the CD, he could hardly talk, turns out he was recovering from Strep. He was a really nice, interesting guy, and he spoke with us for probably 15 minutes (turns out we both grew up in the same area). Since then I can honestly say this album is in my all time top 25, and I always use it as an example of how there are so many fantastic bands out there that people never here, radio is too busy playing Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift in loop-rotation, sadly. If you haven't listened to the rest of this album, check it, there are some outstanding songs, STP caliber stuff....and I don't think that's an exaggeration. Good to hear the singer is working with Live, will definitely be checking that out.

Had the same experience in Dallas except I knew they were in town. No one was there and i literally felt like they were giving me a private show. Still love the album.

weebitofbirdandpups babiestoo!

I had never heard of these guys until their album's music showed up on Pandora one day, and I instantly "bookmarked the artist". Since then, I've added their stuff to my playlists here on YouTube and other music apps. (AND I'm WAY OLDER than y'all!👵... 57...😎)

My friend turned me on to them about 99' or 2000', one of my favorite albums, I had no idea that whats BM turned into after Shannon passed, I heard Wither when it was first released but I had the album for awhile I thought they were going to be huge and when they were supposed to play Quanitas in LR, we called the day of the show to see if they had showed up, cause we had lots of shrooms...(Lol), and thats when we learned they had broke up and the show was cancelled...then not too long ago I came across Cinematic, unbelievable I never knew of that album either, needless to say, it blew me away, and the more I listen to it The more I love it, the lyrics and music are awesome, I love their sound, and I even grew up with old Ozzy and Ratt, Metallica, SoundGarden, AIC, I was a child of the 80's & 90's, I'm 44 now, I hope they give us another gift of new songs soon.

why is every one hating, this band was never intended to be "Like" BM, I like the singer, he has a great clean voice, sorta haunting with his projection, I like it even better than BM, UT are just as original, so different than BM, thank God they are not the same.

I agree, and thank god Eddie Veder wasn't ever the singer, like I seen someone thought they should've got.
