Formed in 2008, the band currently consists of Rob Maskell (lead vocals, guitar), Danny Blackford (bass), Chris Leworthy (guitar) and Nick Stoneman (drums).

The band formed in early 2008 as a jam band for local musicians. After undergoing several lineup changes in their first year, the band felt that they were ready to begin trying to make their mark on the North Devon music scene.

By mid 2009, the band had lots of material written, and made a rough demo cd that they sent around to local venues, and soon found their gig schedule full. The band continued playing the local circuit throughout 2009 and 2010 and by the end of 2010 had entered the studio to record their first EP, entitled Bi-Polar Bear.

It is hard to put Unnamed Heroes music into a particular genre, but those who try would put them somewhere between Indie Rock and Alternative Rock. Their influences include Brand New, Kings of Leon, Rufio, Alkaline Trio and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
