me: searches up the amount of buildings that exist this day

google: 100 000 000 000

me: 341 000 / 32 000 = 1.065625 1 000 000 000 / 100 000 000 000 = 0.01

also me: 1.065625 birds per turbine per year, 0.01 birds per building per year. hHhHhmMmmMmmmMMmMmMmmmmMMmMMmmMMMm

edit:

me after watching more of the video: HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM a massive ugly hotel with a bunch of positively charged electrons running through its walls covered in------
-----WINDOWS???? that you claimed kill a BILLION BIRDS A YEAR anyways, also this will be made in a year's time after the technology was developped, and at which point (as you said several seconds earlier) is EXTREEMELY inefficient, and produces only 0.05 watts of power--(in how much time? an hour? a day? a year? no one knows.)

In engineering, the problem to solve starts out as an objective given to you. It states intended goals and boundary conditions whether environmental or structural (materials to use or size limits).

In simpler terms, "Here's a plot of land, I want a system to produce 10 MegaWatts to power a nearby village a few miles away, all for this much cash up front and this much allowable maintenance."

Maintenance is key in terms of an ongoing labor cost for the life of the system, and more moving parts isn't a benefit.

You could make the case of less downtime with multiple smaller turbines, but in the end a risk assessment or cost benefit analysis is what determines the outcome.

Everyone from the customer, contractor, government agency issuing permits, to the third party auditor or environmental lobby will verify independently-- long before the project gets started.

In other words, it isn't all engineering. Hope that gives you a better idea of what's going on.

Engineer1: "Mike...uhm... does it have to look like that?"

Mike: "I mean... it does work and changing the shape would mean alot more work for us..."

Engineer1: "Will people buy it?"

Accountant: "Our first clients want 10 to start with and if everything goes to plan are wanting to buy 190 more"

Engineer1: "Well... I guess I'm making giant (cough) toys for a living then"

The keys to the energy problem are (i) altering end-use patterns, and (i) using the free distribution systems inherent to solar and wind.

Big solar and wind farms feed the grid in order to meter the energy--even though the grid loses 1/2 of it through the resistivity of its wires. But Big corporations need to make their profits, so that's the way we are going on this. This is interesting from a scientific point of view because solar and wind are freely distributed all over the world--which means at their points of use--and thus there is no scientific reason for them to be collected at one location in order to be used at another. So in this energy problem, we see Science versus Capitalism. Here's one easy example.

If you put a solar panel on your roof or in your back yard, you could recharge all of your telecommunications and computer devices: iPhones, laptops, iPads, etc. This is because these devices (i) USE DC, (ii) at low voltages and (iii) low currents. In other words there is no scientific reason why we cannot set as a national policy goal taking our telecommunications and computer systems off the grid. But we are not going to do that because capitalism must continue to make money off of energy. Thus the 5 to 18 Volts DC needed to recharge your phones and iPads--run your internet modems, etc. is converted from DC to AC and then stepped up so it can be conveyed by local power lines, and then stepped up again, so those local lines can be fed by high tension lines, and then stepped back down when it arrives at your solar or wind farm site. Look at all of that infrastructure and AC to DC conversions, step up and step down transformers with their cancerous oil baths just to be able to CHARGE YOU MONEY for the energy you use to CHARGE your telecommunication and computer systems--which you could charge for free off a solar panel on your house.

If you did take the telecommunications and computer devices off the grid, then that represents a major achievement. It means we did something. Something that everyone can understand, in teh following way.

Imagine the power "goes out" in your home. What do you lose? Well, your computer and the internet still work, because they are off the grid. And the lights are still on in the house, because they are 12 VDC LEDs. You can't use your washing machine--unless you do your clothes in the sink. Or the dryer, unless you use a clothesline. You can't use your microwave, electric oven, dishwasher, electric can opener. But you won't be off-line sitting next to a candle at the kitchen table, or fighting family members over the flashlight. Everything in your white, christian, middle class suburban home will be working--the lights will be on, Netflix will be streaming over your 49" LED TV, you'll still be checking emails, talking on the phone, updating everyone on Facebook and Twitter. This is if you take the telecommunications and computer aspects of your life off the grid, as proposed. Think about it.

So would you want something like a PowerPod for your home? And if you liked this video be sure to check out, "Are Stirling Engines the Future of Energy Storage?" https://youtu.be/Be3FckQoDws?list=PLnTSM-ORSgi4dFnLD9622FK77atWtQVv7

Already we sold our Agriculture land to Wind farm.
Try something that doesn't need a land, like no need of blades.

@Alathur - Put some wind-directors on the corners of the house to catch the wind and direct it upwards. When the wind reaches the eaves, it is directed inward to exit vertically through a wind generator fan with a relatively small diameter. This should provide a power output at least equivalent to that from old farm windmills. The swept area is the side of the house.

@David Garcia Birds are much more impacted by our built environment than a few thousand wind turbines. Unless the NIMBYs are anti-city too.

It would be interesting to see a comparison of the wind and mechanical noise each of these systems emit.
