Remember when, I was ten,
Reflecting on the past, specifically a memory from when I was ten years old

Lookin forward to Christmas again,
Excitedly anticipating the arrival of Christmas once more

Everything, I enjoy,
During Christmas, there were many things that brought me joy and happiness

Some of the things that brought me joy during Christmas were the family Christmas tree and the toys I received as gifts

And Id wake up early morning
On Christmas morning, I would wake up very early

While mom and dad still snored in bed,
While my parents were still sleeping, unaware of my excitement

So I crept, down the steps,
I carefully walked down the stairs to see what Santa had left for me

Couldn't wait to see what Santa had left now
I was so eager to see what Santa had put under the tree for me to open

Don't want to wait, gettin late,
I do not want to wait any longer, because time is running out

March up stairs to give my parents a shake,
I go upstairs and shake my parents awake, so they can start celebrating Christmas with me

Get out of bed, sleepy heads,
I tell my parents to get out of bed and stop being lazy

Christmas doesn't start till you are awake,
I believe Christmas cannot begin until everyone is awake to celebrate it together

As we gather around the tree,
We come together as a family around the Christmas tree

I open everything they gave to me,
I excitedly open all the gifts that were given to me

So I stay, end up late,
I stay up late because I do not want Christmas to end

Why can't it be Christmas everyday now
I wish that Christmas day would never have to end and could happen every day

Now wake up Christmas morning, guess what I saw,
On a Christmas morning in the present day, I woke up and saw something new

Referring to the upcoming evening before Christmas day
