Feels Like
Uriah Heep Lyrics

From what I said to you
I'm drinking my forgiveness
So restless and confused
I don't know what I see
But it looks a lot like love
Showing me something
Deeper then deep in my soul
And it makes me feel like
I'm at the point of no return - feels like
I'm at the point
It makes me feel like
I'm at the point of no return - feels like
I'm at the point
I was drifting through the days
With nowhere else to turn
I finally discovered
How much I have to learn
I shouldn't be afraid
For you to bring my love
Taking me somewhere
Deeper than deep in my soul
This time my heart will lead the way
To win the game you'got to play
You love me like a lover
I see it in your face
No need to think it over
No need to run the race
I don't know if you planned it
But you're driving me insane
Telling me something
Over and over again
In Uriah Heep's song Feels Like, it appears that the singer is apologizing to a loved one for something that they said or did, which caused sadness. The opening lines set the tone for the song as the singer feels remorseful for his actions and seeks forgiveness from his loved one. The following line "So restless and confused" might suggest the singer's feelings after the conflict, indicating that he is anxious and unsure about his relationship with his loved one. The singer seems to have fallen in love and wants to express these feelings, but is conflicted with a sense of fear which is why he is “afraid” to bring his love.
As the song progresses, the singer realizes that he must confront his fears to move forward in his relationship. He recognizes that he was drifting through his day-to-day life, but now he has discovered that he has much to learn about love. He is willing to take a chance, letting his heart lead the way, and he is willing to play the game of love, accepting that he may or may not be successful. He then sees how much his loved one loves him, and this realization causes him to feel both overwhelmed and reassured, as if he has come to the point of no return, and there is no going back.
In conclusion, the song Feels Like is an emotional confession of love by the singer, who is struggling with fear, anxiety, and the complexity of relationships. The song expresses the inner turmoil and fear of taking a chance in love, but also the sense of liberation, and the freedom that you would feel when you finally take the risk.
