Loved💕💕💕💕this movie. Beautifully done. The characters, story, the realistic portrayal of the struggle when poor (humane and beautiful thank you, the scene of the cubicle housing from ceiling point was brutally honest💕) the love and the tensions economics has on relationships
I love Asian shows and really appreciate Chinese and Taiwan dramas esp for the class lens. But also showing other issues like speaking to power and often the sad results, anyways the ending in this story was heartfelt. Regret but hope also, loving someone even after the fact.
Im not good at relaying how movies make me feel—I just know this one moved me a great deal. 💕💕
Btw I watch with sub-titles. I LOVE foreign films. Hate horror, smut, porn culture garbage. America Use to have great films but they dumbed down now 95% of them are pure trash. (Music the same). So I expanded watching foreign films.
Just started Kdramas and Cdramas this year and am hooked. LoL like addicted. Still like watching British mysteries. Dr.Who and Sherlock. And Canadian series—oh Mr. Robot. But yes, for dramas, comedies and romance Asians just write beautiful heart ❤️ stories, some of the Best ever.

This movie was incredibly bittersweet. So well done. It felt very realistic and not like some crazy never-going-to-happen romance film you usually see. I'm not even sure if I'd call it a romance after watching it. Finishing it at 1 AM, I cried, especially at the end of the credits when Lin Jianqing is talking to his father. So powerful. I want to show this film to others, but I'm not going to show them this trailer, for it gives too much away I feel. This movie is better seen with absolutely no information about it, like how I saw it; I found it on Netflix at random and instantly watched it without even reading the Netflix information. What a damn good film. I will definitely watch again.

Same,at first i thought they are going to end up together, happy ending and all but when he said he is married i was literally shocked.This movie made me cry at 2 AM and my eyes hurt now 😭.

this is a soul-crushing and also heartbreaking movie. This also describes parent's feeling when their kids are away from home especially on traditional day Lunar New Year. Time flies but the love that they used to have is still some how exist inside them. The characters do really reflected how teenagers nowaday are trying their best to find their own path in life and struggle to be who they want to be between love and family.Brilliant and touching movie!
