In 1990 Usher joined an R&B local quintet called the NuBeginnings, which was organized by local music svengali, Darryl Wheeler and then he decided to pursue a career in music. Aside from recording, Usher has ventured into business. He has established his own record label, US Records, and is a part owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers franchise. He has also dabbled in acting, with a recurring role on the teen sitcom Moesha, and roles in the films The Faculty (1998, with Josh Harnett) She's All That (1999, with Freddie Prinze, Jr.) and Texas Rangers (2001, with Ashton Kutcher).
Confessions Part 2
Usher Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
These are my confessions just when I thought I said all I can say
My chick on the side said she got one other way
These are my confessions, man I'm throwed and I don't know what to do
I guess I gotta give part two of my confessions
If I'm gonna tell it then I gotta tell it all
I'm so throwed, I don't know what to do
But to give you part two of my confessions
Now this gon' be the hardest thing I think I ever had to do
Got me talkin' to myself askin', how I'm gon' tell you?
'Bout that chick on part one, I told ya'll I was creepin' with, creepin' with
Said she's three months pregnant and she's keepin' it
The first thing that came to mind was you
Second thing was how do I know if it's mine and is it true?
Third thing was me wishin' that I never did what I did
How I ain't ready for no kid and bye bye to our relationship
These are my confessions just when I thought I said all I can say
My chick on the side said, she got one other way
These are my confessions man I'm throwed and I don't know what to do now
I guess I gotta give part two of my confession, oh
If I'm gonna tell it then I gotta tell it all
Damn near cried when I got that phone call
I'm so throwed, I don't know what to do
But to give you part two of my confessions
Sittin' here stuck on stupid, tryna figure out
When, what and how I'ma let this come out of my mouth?
Said, it ain't gon' be easy but I need to stop thinkin', contemplatin'
Be a man and get it over with, over with
I'm ridin' in my whip racin' to her place
Talkin' to myself preparin' to tell her to her face
She open up the door and didn't wanna come near me
I said, "One second baby, please hear me"
These are my confessions just when I thought I said all I can say
My chick on the side said, she got one other way
These are my confessions, man I'm throwed and I don't know what to do
I guess I gotta give part two of my confessions
If I'm gonna tell it then I gotta tell it all
Damn near cried when I got that phone call
I'm so throwed, I don't know what to do
But to give you part two of my confessions
This by far is the hardest thing I think I've ever had to do
To tell you, the woman I love
That I'm having a baby by a woman that I barely even know
I hope you can accept the fact that I'm man enough to tell you this
And hopefully you'll give me another chance
This ain't about my career, this ain't about my life, it's about us, please
These are my confessions just when I thought I said all I can say
My chick on the side said, she got one other way
These are my confessions, man I'm throwed and I don't know what to do
I guess I gotta give part two of my confessions
If I'm gonna tell it then I gotta tell it all
Damn near cried when I got that phone call
I'm so throwed, I don't know what to do
But to give part two of my confessions
The lyrics to Usher's song Confessions Part II Remix reveal the artist's innermost thoughts as he grapples with a difficult confession. He starts by saying that he thought he had said everything he needed to say, but then his "chick on the side" told him she had another way. This leads him to give part two of his confessions, as he feels he must tell the whole truth. He admits that he almost cried when he got a phone call, and he's not sure what to do.
As the song progresses, Usher reveals that the difficult confession he must make is that another woman he was "creepin' with" is three months pregnant and is keeping the baby. He expresses regret over his actions, wishing he had never done what he did. However, he must now be a man and tell the woman he loves about the situation. He feels that it may be the hardest thing he has ever had to do, but he hopes that she will give him another chance.
Overall, the lyrics to Confessions Part II Remix reveal a man struggling to come to terms with a difficult situation. Usher is honest about his mistakes and acknowledges the pain he has caused. He is open about his feelings, admitting that he is "throwed" and unsure of what to do. However, he finds the courage to confess the truth, showing that he is willing to take responsibility for his actions.
