1) Utopia, sometimes known as Todd Rundgren's Utopia, was the band Todd Rundgren formed in the early 70s to play epic progressive rock. Like many progressive bands, they eventually simplified their sound into a sort of sophisticated New Wave and experienced some success in the early MTV era with humorous videos.
The band as an entity covered all styles of music. From rock, country, pop, classical and beyond. The vocal ability of the band overall was supreme; with only Queen even coming close to range and flexibility at that time.
All members are still quite alive and very active with their own projects. Todd Rundgren continuously produces and is always at the cutting edge with computers. Roger Powell works for Apple in a high level position within their music department and Willie Wilcox produces for many artists. Kasim Sulton has his own bass model and consistenly works in music with numerous artists.
Both Todd Rundgren and Kasim Sulton participated in the formation of The New Cars, replacing original members Ric Ocasek and the now-deceased Benjamin Orr. This continued Rundgren's fascination with creating songs and sounds that mimicked other bands' works (see Utopia's Deface the Music for the band's tribute to the Beatles). The New Cars toured and released one album, which contained only three original songs (all others were live performances of The Cars hits).
2) Utopia is a pop rock band from Bandung, Indonesia. Formed on August 8, 2003, the band consists of Pia (female vocals), Indra (bass), Dodo (guitars), and Tommy (drums). As of now, the band has released three albums (in order of release date): "Utopia", "Kekal", and "Indah".

Trapped
Utopia Lyrics

So they put him in chains
For acting too odd
As the crowd shouted, "Off with his head"
The priest said, "Have mercy
Let's burn him instead"
Trapped
Trapped in a world that he never made
In a windowless cell
A room full of doors
I got lost, now I'm so far behind
Took so much advice
Forgot my own mind
Trapped
Trapped in a world that I never made
We can't be slowed down by a big bunch of lip
And nobody cares about your paranoid trip
You know death and the devil sure got it easy today
Souls come so cheap some people give theirs away
You've got to break out, you've got to prove you're alive
What makes you think that the weak survive
And if you don't have the stomach
For all this radical crap
Then have the guts to stand for something
Or you're gonna be trapped
Trapped
Trapped in a world that you never made
The song "Trapped" by Utopia is a thought-provoking piece that explores the theme of being confined and restricted in a world that one never created. The song includes two distinct verses that feature different characters being trapped in different ways. The first verse tells the story of Brother John, who saw visions of God and was therefore chained and put on trial. The crowd calls for his execution, but the priest intervenes and suggests burning him instead. The second verse focuses on the singer, who wakes up in a windowless cell, lost and confused. The lyrics suggest that the singer has followed too much advice from others and forgotten his own thoughts and beliefs.
The chorus of the song ties these disparate verses together, declaring that all those who feel trapped are unified in their experience. The repeated phrase "trapped in a world that [they] never made" emphasizes the idea that individuals can often be confined by circumstances beyond their control, whether it be the expectations of society or the restrictions imposed by others. The song offers a message of resistance and encourages the listener to break free from the constraints that limit their potential.
