Epi an silouèt parfet
Mwen té ja pèd la rézon mwen pa profet
(Mé pou mwen sa té kler é net)
Epi gras′a an gazel
Adan an monde parallèl
Sé la ou chayé mwen pa bizwen témoin
Sé yinki vou é mwen
Vwé mwen, vwé mwen té ja sav que c t vou
On santiman ki grandi dé jou an jou
Natirel, sinplissité fè mwen flashé
Alo souplé pa chanjé, pa chanjé
Kon alisinasyon ou décidé
(Invité mwen dansé)
Pa té vlé compassion ni yon ni dé
(Mwen succombé sans arrières pensées)
Imaj' apré imaj′ nouté an lè nyaj'
On zouk o ralenti, mwen pé pa manti
Si sa mwen rissanti
Vwé mwen, vwé mwen té ja sav que c t vou
On santiman ki grandi dé jou an jou
Natirel, sinplissité fè mwen flashé
Alo souplé pa chanjé, pa chanjé
A you man spend money pon her
Ball it out loud, you inna first position
It's like
Patsy, Nancy, Susie
(None a dem a test you)
Mary, Sandy, Beverly
(Cah you a give it to me softcore)
Erika wan fi be me sister
But long time nuh leave ya
(Dem no hotter than you)
Melissa think she inna dat
A fool, she a idiot
(Cah you a give it to me softcore)
Vwé mwen, vwé mwen té ja sav que c t vou
On santiman ki grandi dé jou an jou
Natirel, sinplissité fè mwen flashé
Alo souplé pa chanjé, pa chanjé

In V-ro's song "Softcore," the lyrics describe a dreamlike state where the singer is lost in their imagination. The opening lines suggest that the singer is seeing a perfect silhouette and someone who appears to be a gazelle. The following lines emphasize that the singer has lost their mind but knows, with clarity, that they were meant to be there. The chorus implies that the singer has strong feelings for this person and has realized that their love has grown naturally over time. The lyrics call for this person not to change or alter the feelings that have developed between them.
The second verse talks about an invitation to dance causing the singer to fall for this person without any hidden motive. The lyrics create a surreal image of different scenes flashing before the singer's eyes, and a slow zouk beats playing in the background making them laugh, suggesting that they are content in their dream state. The repeated phrase in the chorus declares that the singer knew all along that this person was meant for them and that their simplicity and naturalness caught their attention.
Overall, "Softcore" has an atmospheric tone with lyrics that create a dreamlike state of mind where the singer is lost in their imagination, highlighting the song's message of appreciating love that has grown over time naturally.
