Thanx for the video! I just got 3 more dieffenbachia since the one I had was doing so well. I will keep an eye out for scale. I'm glad to hear they like misting since I've been doing that.

@Stacey Kersting You are welcome, Stacey! One of the best things I learned over the years, is that plants usually do not attract insects if they are cared for properly. If their living conditions are met such as placing them in the right light, watering correctly and given some plant food, at least occasionally, they will stay healthy. If you are having any problems with a plant, those things should be looked at first. So, better to keep them happy than look for trouble :)

My dieffenbachia's leaves are turning yellow and then dieing....am I overwatering it? or could there be something else wrong?

Did you check your humidity with humidity reader? Dieffenbachia isn't on my list of easiest plants. Need tropical rain forest mist air.

Make sure you water it thoroughly and then let it dry out some. It is possible you are watering it too often and maybe even not watering it enough. Here is a link to my blog post on the Dieffenbachia. It should help you determine if you need to adjust your watering. They are forgiving plants and you should be able to get it back on track.
