I've been hearing this for years on clk atlanta but never knew who made it. was pleasantly surprised it was the man Donald Byrd. The male vocalist sang the theme from Good Times. He is a master vocalist. Syreeta sings like a bird. Just beautiful. Donald on that trumpet is so dope. Love it!

Yo, has anybody noticed the lyrics in these songs on this whole album are on point! Listen to the words in all these songs and I guarantee you will feel so much better, the whole rest of the day!😎

Timeless Music. I could listen to the Mizell Brother productions all day long. Rest In Peace Fonce. Hope People will enjoy your music in the next century too ~

The Mizell Bros. didn't produce this album. They split with Donald after the Caricatures album in '76. This was prod. by Donald himself (with some assistance from some members of the Blackbyrd's). They also did the next album after this one. Which is why I personally group the Blackbyrd's classic albums with Donald's 78 & 79 albums.
With the exception for half of the 1st album, Donald prod. all of the Blackbyrds albums from 73-77. And you can hear pretty much the same formula on this and the next album.
I hope all of that made sense.

I don't know why, after all this time, this particular tune, that's missing from my collection, should pop into my head, but my memory, being what it is, made it necessary for me to immediately jump onto 'YouTube', and add it to my 'Tuneage' playlist, what a tune!
