(1) An 80s new wave band from Liverpool UK . The "First Impressions" LP was released in the UK in 1982 on Pennine Records. Vhf also changed their name to Manteau and released " Promises " on the Riva record label .
(2) An 80s metal band, also from the UK.
(3) Pennsylvania based indie band consisting of four members. The band was formed at a local state college in the early 80’s. One Chance was the band’s only release, but before and after this release they were very active in the regional concert scene, playing all around the Northeastern seaboard. A highlight of their career was being an opening act on a Tubes tour, which took them to 32 cities in 18 states.
(4) VHF play improvised electroacoustic music. Extreme techniques on alto saxophone (Graham Halliwell)and double bass (Simon H. Fell) combine with Simon Vincent's extraordinary live electronics and percussion to produce a group of remarkable delicacy and resonance.
Their first album "Extracts" was released in 1999 by Erstwhile Records. Their second album "Statics" was released by L'Innomable in 2006.
