Well, I take it youve never seen the "funky town execution".
The mexican cartel peeled off this dudes entire skin off his head and face, so he looked like a still living skeleton with blood all over, kinda like Red Skull from Captain America. They were torturing him slowly and painfully.
During all of that, they were very careful not to kill him, and even more careful not to pull out the constant IV drip of epinephrine administered to him, which means he couldnt go into shock or lose consciousness and was more than awake and more than aware of his pain and situation.
Why is it called Funky Town execution? Because the torturers were listening to funky town on full blast in the background.
Psychopathic fucking cartels.
